I couldn't go up the stairs early because Mrs. Tweedy was there and I couldn't get the log because the freaking dog... they were the last two items to grab. The dress cannot be grabbed early so boots was first. Running back the dress was grab late deliberately because I needed the camera to flip.

I should mention about the jumping.
Jumping mainly works when grabbing something it automatically puts you at max speed.
When fading into the level a jump cannot be made until a certain point and you're already walking at max speed.
