Emulator: Snes9x-1.43-Win32-WIP1
This is a run of Super Metroid of 14%-Route. (Ice Beam route.)
Clear Time - 00:35
I have never seen this kind of movie. So I made it by myself.

Note1

vs.Ridley and vs.Mother Brain needed a lot of times.
So, You can skip these battle-scene. (Use Frame-Skip-Function.)
Here is a 'Playing-Frame' about the end of these long-scenes.
Ridley - In 101000.
Mother Brain - In 170000.

Note2

I already have known about my mistake.
I missed 'Power Bomb(Super Bomb)'s damage to Ridley,about 200damage.'.
So, I shooted him by Ice-Charged-Shot,frequent 4~5times.
But Please excuse me. Re-Record(remake) about this movie is hard to me(IF I remake this one, I must shot Ice-Charged-Shot to Ridley and Mother Brain,100times over correctly,again.(^_^;))

Why the murder-beam glitch is not used?

Because that glitch requires all the beams.

To Mr.Bisqwit

If you think that this one is not entertaining, Please tell me so. (Or delete this post, please.) If you delete this one, I will have no dissatisfaction.(^_^;)

To all

If you have a question, sorry but please write in easy-English.

This is somewhat unrelated, but I once had a funny glitch that actually let me postpone MB's beam attack as long as there were any Power Bombs left. I'm not sure if it's 100% reproducible though, and it isn't mentioned anywhere, but I'll try it again (not that it has any practical meaning, but still…).

I just watched all the four Super Metroid TASes in a row (100%, any%, the "semi-published" any% aiming for the internal timer, and this one). Is it just me, or is this run not at par with the newer runs anymore, with regard to newer techniques found? Somehow the running in the newer TASes looks smoother, with less delays and overall faster, especially at parts which are equal in all the runs. I suppose that many of the techniques and tricks used in the newer runs were not known when Terimakasih made this one. Is anyone planning an improvement?

Look at its date, Warp. I'm not even sure people were actively using frame advance back then. It's really, really old and subpar, there's no mistake about it. But yeah, I'm making an improvement and I've gained a minute after just 5 minutes of play.

Thanks, I will. I prioritize quality over time in this run, so it's not going to be finished anytime soon (definitely not until the next spring, maybe even summer, I'm afraid).

Reading http://tasvideos.org/SuperMetroidTricks.html it becomes quite clear that making a high-quality Super Metroid TAS is really laborious and requires minute attention to detail. I must admire the amount of effort put into it, especially taking into account that we are talking about 1-hour long videos... And then some people diss TASes because they are "too easy" to make.

That page is somewhat outdated as well!

Yeah but how outdated is it? The things that instantly comes to mind are acceleration storage (saves a frame here and there) and draygon. Are there more new things?

The chainsaw beam+power bomb ownage, underwater wall-jumping, land inside a door, grapple beam through blocks, getting hit by rainbow beam while crystal flashing, escaping the shitroid, damaging the elite space pirates before they turn gold, duck jumping, super missile past a 1 block wall. That's all I can think of

Okay, most things does not matter for a TAS anyway, though that does not mean it shouldn't be there.
