I know it is against the rules to use the Passwords, but seriously, play this game. You'll understand why I did this.
I used BizHawk 1.6.0a, I just modified the hotkeys.
Well, starting off this game is based on the Stuart Little movie, it's not THAT bad, but when it comes to physics... well, it's horrible. TBH this speedrun didn't turn out that great, specially regarding the game's awful physics, but hey, since it's the first TAS ever covered of this game, this was the best I could have done...

Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: Hello lu9, and welcome to TASVideos. While it is true the game has bad physics, that is not a reason to break the rules and use a password to skip to the final area. Any complete run, no matter how uninteresting or unappealing it may appear, of a licensed game has a chance for at least the Vault.
Furthermore, the TAS looks quite unoptimized. The very low rerecord count also implies that the run is not very optimized. Rejecting for unoptimization and using a password.
Better luck next time!

I don't agree with that excuse, to be honest. EDIT: Watched the movie. I don't know if it was the game or the TAS, but it looked very awkward to watch for me. Also, there are blank inputs at the end of the movie. Voted No.

Could you elaborate on this a bit? Not knowing the game, I'm not happy with "just play it" as an explanation. Is it like in Ghosts'n'Goblins or similar where all the password does is skip to the second quest right away, that is, avoid having to play through the game twice? If it just skips to the final stage, why does it so? Other than that, I'm waiting for an encode.

i have the same feeling, why use password? if it's for reach the final stage i don't get the reason why...and regarding to the rerecord count it seems to be that of course an encode will be appreciated, i don't know that game, and for the moment it don't make me want find the rom. edit after watching : are you kidding me?

Holy shit I know this game. Quick explanation: it's a platformer where you have to collect all the objects in a level. On Easy, the items are all easy to find and straightforward. On Hard, they are hidden around the level and you have to search for them. There's also these stupid racing levels that you have to beat. You drive around for a few laps picking up objects, and once you have enough you beat the level. So yeah a TAS should use Hard and definitely not use passwords.

It's kinda weird because this game is fairly short and pretty trivial to TAS

Even if the game is awkward-looking, the character does move pretty quickly. This could be an ok game for a full run. We've had games with really frustrating physics models before. (Simpsons Bart vs. The Space Mutants comes to mind as one of the ones where the physics sucks, and that makes the run less interesting instead of more.)
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:

Going by what nitrogenesis said, I'm inclined to vote 'no' on the run. This game could at least be a decent one for the vault, but to that end, it needs to be played in full.

breaks the rules, and also looks like it hasn’t been optimized at all, I bet a human runner could do better

I voted no. Using a password to skip to the last level is not really acceptable, especially when the game could make for a pretty decent run. This one is highly unoptimized though. I made a short WIP of it myself in 15 minutes and I was able save 194 frames before the level begins. Here's something I said in another thread, but it applies here as well, so I'm quoting it:
TASes aim for perfection and perfection is not achieved by not using the most basic tools to their full extent. TASes should never forgo the use of frame advance and it never hurts to use a lot of rerecords to check if you can do something faster, be it a jump or an attack or even a simple action such as entering a door. ... I encourage you to try to improve this run for the good practice it provides and post your WIPs on the forum (not submitting them, but creating a thread for this game and posting the WIPs there) to get feedback.

Meh vote. WTF is this... I honestly think that this could be more entertaining even for a game this bad and creepy. A password? I'm ok with that, but that rerecord count? NO. This just seemed lazy and unoptimized. I'm looking foward for a real run anyways.
