Kangaroo is a 1982 arcade game that bears striking gameplay resemblance to Donkey Kong. The player controls a mother kangaroo who must rescue her son from a gang of monkeys.
Not much to say about this TAS. It's a nice little game to play if you want to burn a minute, or need a quick TAS project to help learn the ropes of optimization. I felt like the Atari systems needed more repertoire, and of course they're small and easy, so they make for good training TASes.
Possible improvements, if there are any, could come from possible platform skips that I missed, or any monkey/falling dot manipulation.
Thanks for watching.

Noxxa: An Atari 2600 run that appears simplistic, but not unoptimized. Accepting for the Vault.

I smell a bad game choice. Atleast I don't see anything in this TAS that wouldn't be "super easy" to recreate in a RTA. Wasn't entertained.

It's cool to see an Atari game I'd never heard of before, but this really does feel like a poorer version of Donkey Kong. There's just so much less to dodge, though I don't know if that's due to manipulating enemies away. The technical quality seems good enough, though. In that regard, if you were using this for training, I'd say you succeeded. I am going to give this a Meh vote for entertainment, leaning towards No.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Eh, all Atari games look terrible. It's a *home console* from 1982! You guys shouldn't punish him just for that.

I never had the chance to play this game as a kid, but I think I would have enjoyed it. So, here's another Yes vote to you. I also agree with mklip2001 about the quality of your game play, the skills shown in this TAS are not obvious for a casual player.

I remember when this game (or at least its arcade version) was so popular that there was a Saturday morning cartoon based on it. Never had a chance to play it myself, though. As such it's good to see a run of it, even though it may not be sufficiently deep to support this-is-obviously-a-TAS style action. I recall seeing other movies here of games that would be easily missable except for being cultural touchstones, so I have no problem voting Yes for this.

No vote. It is not really entertaining. But it looks like a good optimized run so I think it should be accepted. But for vault.
