Hi all! First, I'll say a little about me. I'm Vietnamese, a man with 32 old years. I have a family with mother, a wife, a daughter (my father gone 30 years ago). I have working in a little company for around 235$/month, 8 hours/day, 6 days/week, and it feeding my familly. I was come to TAS because when i'm at child I'm have very enjoy with videogames. I was very surprised when I watched TAS, TASing is my relax game in this time now. I make TAS at midnight in veryday I have free time. It's no problem because I like it. If the donate can help TAS site improve everything, I'm VERY HAPPY if I can help all I can do Second, for TASers. TASers had hard work for TAS, none denied that. But is it best hard work? No, have some silent heroes was does hard more than. Who can help TAS site keep alive? Who manage all can good like now? Who make develop emulators for TASers, etc. Are they robots? Are they just need drink water keep alive? How about for their family? Etc.... Hey, we're living in reallife, not in game. We can't kill monsters for level up and earn money from them.... If all you there want everything will better, who will do? But, why they must do that? Third, for staff team. Ok funds can help imrove everything. But in this time, I'm feeling (and I think most ppl feeling same me) if I donate I'll pro more than free members, free members just are jerks, etc (sorry). VIP can earn money by their TAS? Shall I become to second Bill-Gates by my TAS? Hell no! The time for make TAS, I can find money more than... The word "pro" eay make other feel hurt if their TAS isn't "pro" if din't donate. TAS pro is best record in all time? No! At 2003, we thought Morimoto's run is best in all time, but now we knew it's not. Why call a thing "pro" if have other better? I think if change word "pro" to other (example hightland/new sky/VIP/etc) will be better. where place can give me emulator can help me eat popcorn, drink coca and watch emulators auto make TAS (just example) why don' t have new features (example frame advance on PS 2 only for VIP) Don't let ppl feel husrt about TAS Pro, No place for poor ppl? . My english isn't good, hope all you there can understand I means

Oh your Spongebob movie TAS... That is just a masterpiece to the eye... (and probably ears by hearing the WOO every fucking second.) Seriously, thats one of my favorites. But about TAS PRO... What to say about this? How about a 3 day free trial for the poor people? Like me or like xxNKxx? That would give us some mercy... right?

Relax guys, TAS Pro was just an April joke. When the site moved to DeHackEd's home server we even could get rid of google ads and stopped asking for donations. For now, I don't even know if it's at all possible to donate. But hell, no one is seriously going to restrict anything for those who didn't pay, or provide anything better than what's already there for those who pay.

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

.................................................................Thats the most cruel thing I ever saw on my entire life. Seriously, that was really mean and those guys should feel bad about it. Sometimes April Fuels can be a little too excesive. (yes, I intencionally said fuel) O BTW, the site is still open... I just hope the runs are REAL... Or else...

HAHAHA. Okay. In EVERY APRIL FOOLS, TASVideos does jokes to the audience (either news or submissions), so no, it wasn't excessive, and at least I won't feel bad about it. And of course the runs are real, since, you know, it was a freaking joke,

He means the ones featured on TASVideos Pro. No, those movies are not legitimate. There is no rerecording emulator available for 3DS and Wii U, and PCSX2-rr is not ready for TASing yet. And the rest of the "movies" were just attractive links with impossible times (there's no known way to complete SMB in under 4 minutes and SM64 in under 5) and Photoshopped screenshots. TASVideos will continue to remain a free, community website. The entire Pro page and the whole idea was an April Fool's joke.

What Spikestuff suggested is probably your best option. Next year's April 1st would be a good time to take a short vacation from this site and any other websites that you suspect might try to play an April Fool's joke on the users (like Google). And it might be difficult, but try to keep your guard up and not trust everything you read, just for that one day. As you know, it can be hard to tell what's an April Fool's joke and what's not sometimes.

Kurabupenguin has a valid point actually. Many people here assume that everyone else on these forums will understand what is an April Fools' Joke, but it's not a culturally universal phenomenon.

I can agree that TASvideos April Fools sometimes is a little confusing to know if it's a joke or not the first time. I remember the "We're going to close the site" joke and like a sucker I fell for it. Lesson learned.
