Hello ! Before starting to expose my problem , I'm french so sorry for the bad translation ^^' I have the basic configuration of the emulator I download here : https://code.google.com/p/pcsx2-rr/downloads/detail?name=PCSX2-rr.zip In the emulator when I click on the "File" tab there is "read CD / DVD" when I click it there is an error with writing on it: " The specified bios file was not found. A bios is required for PCSX2 to run File not found Filename : C:\...\PCSX2-rr\bios\PS2 bios 30004R V6 Pal.bin " There also tab to "execute" when I click on "execution" same message I do not how it's launch games on this emulator :/ I'm on windows 7 and my iso is EU version ( Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance ) Can you help me please ? Thank you in advance

-- english You need a bios file to run the emulator. The bios of a (modern) console could be compared to the OS like Windows to the computer or device. You need to find it on your own and set it up in the emulator. -- french L'erreur est assez claire, il te manque le bios (l'OS) de la PS2. Télécharger ce fichier revient donc à pirater l'équivalent de Windows chez Sony et est donc un tabou sur les forums d'émulation. Tu dois le trouver seul et le paramétrer dans l'émulateur.

For emulators sake use this one. (Please raise a question here) It is more stable and you can TAS more games. Also Like written above make sure you have a bios in it. If the game doesn't work... the game doesn't work. Sorry. Edit: Also Sorry I don't know French so I cannot translate what I wrote. (And I don't trust Google)

Yea it has to be manual set up. w32pthreads.dll is for the plugin once you find the dll you place that to the root of pcsx2-rr. I'll pm you the link for the dll.

I'm just going with the most obvious answer so excuse me on that. Go through these steps within the emulator. Config > Configure "Set BIOS Directory" Locate to where the BIOS is located Bios: Europe v2.20(10/02/2006) (Using mine as an example of what I see) And then check to see if it works... If that doesn't work hunt down another bios from somewhere else. I would link to one but that's not acceptable here.

Hello all I had progress but I have a new problem now when I run a game (no problem bios) I have this error message appears in the console pcsx2-rr: " NUM fils not found , creating bank file _cdvdOpenNUM: Error creating %s " Have you an idea? my ISO is EU and its my BIOS: -Europe v1.60 (04.10.2001) ou -Europe v2.00 (14.06.2004) I don't have " Europe v2.20 (10/02 / 2006) " Thank you in advance!

The version I wrote was an example. Everything else works fine... The issue by the looks of things is your CD/DVD Plugin. Not a bios issue.

The original stuff was from adelikat. The extensions were from a Japanese guy.
