If anyones interested I did a TAS of Master Quest up till the end of Jabu Jabu the strategies differ quite a lot from SL's WIP and might answer some pre concieved questions about the route now. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/320190289/AKA-OoT_MQ.m64 I used rice, but the run should sync on GLN and Direct64

The sheer amount of stuff in segment 10 makes me think they are awfully brave. Then again, they also expect to walk through an open door after, which isn't going to happen I guess.

How far along is SL on this? I bet he's gotten the route all worked out already, right?

And this is why I check these forums daily. Amazing breakthrough (get it? XD), can't wait for the new run, which I'm sure is sadly far off. EDIT: Could someone please repost the video of the method of exiting the forest without beating the deku tree? I'm sure it's in the last 100 pages, but I'm kinda lazy in that regard. - Thanks

Brilliant news. I guess any any progress which SL did make on the current run would be erased now anyway.

Perhaps not entirely. He could/should use some of it for a 100% run. Edit: Also, congratulations to AKA and Kazooie.

Congrats on the absolute most amazing skip ever! :D Just wondering, if you can now bypass 99% of the whole kid-link stuff, why do the planned routes still mention getting the kukri sword (spelling?). I've seen the youtube forest skip where they use a stick instead of the sword, but am I missing something about why it's still needed? Either way, ULTIMATE CONGRATS! Somebody please force JXQ to do a new commentary when this new run is done <3

We need either the Koikiri Sword or Deku sticks to pull off the DoT break. We can only use Deku Sticks in the ToT if they are on B. Getting them on B requires the Koikiri Sword...

This is getting pretty incredible... maybe they'll eventually break this game as badly as some of the other Zeldas. *waits for 5min glitch run*

If I am correct no one has actually found a way to skip the door of time yet have they? I know you guys found out how to side hop through the wall but you haven't been able to land on the other side have you?

The forest escape is pretty cool, but won't you be at a disadvantage without the ocarina?

(correct me if Im wrong) What you do to get the ocarina is get the 3 stones through BA, then get the ocarina of time. Now that I think about it though, it may not be needed at all anymore, because the main reason you needed it before is in the process of becoming an adult, so unless there is something I missed (very possible), I dont even think it will be needed.

Why not just escape the lost woods, and renter the lost woods to get your fairy ocarina? The Saria cutscene still plays.

you can use bottles as an ocarina. you can also play on any other item, but you need a bottle with a fish/bug for the glitch to work.

I was under the impression that learning a song automatically gives you the ocarina. Perhaps I was wrong with this assumption?

Where are you even going to need it now? I dont think you will need it as a kid, and I dont see where you will ned it as an adult. Is there someplace in gannon's tower Im forgetting?
