I think you should focus on learning to analyze your own runs for suboptimal parts. Compare your run to others, or even visualize a run where nothing holds you back and everything goes your way. Think piece by piece, "Why are they faster here? What am I doing differently?", or "Do I really have to wait for this to happen?" Even go down to frame-by-frame to see where the vids start to differ - really get into it.

Thanks for you guys helping me. Let me tell you guys something. I know every single trick in ocarina of time and most in majoras mask. I am just testing TAS right now and getting used to it. I have also been playing a route because i really want to do a full game TAS. There are more important things right now in my life such as baseball. And i still play halo 3 way to much. Trust me give me a couple of months i will be very used to TAS. I am starting to use Frame Advance and testing it. I also am not using the TAS input plugin yet. I am also just running Ocarina of Time a couple of time just to get the feel of it again. I like Majoras Mask more but i feel i could do alot better in Ocarina of time.

if you want to do Ocarina of time, do the 100% run, basically all dungeons, the any% run is already being worked on.

But planning a 100% route would be big hard work. Sure, they've already planned a route on Link to the Past, but it's still hard.

true, but why go through all the trouble of planning an any% run just to have someone come along and publish a faster run than yours?

you know, that this run fails hard? some guys can beat it non-TAS, for example runnerguy2489 ;) swordless link, bloobiebla and AKA (Mitjitsu) are doing a RBA TAS at the moment ;) before you start planning, what run you want to do, you should aim to get much much much better for now ;) you still need a long while, until you can do a TAS, that is on the skill level of nowadays swordless link for example has been TASing since back in 2006 already ;)

Please remember that this is the discussion thread for OoT. It would be appreciated if you keep to this only and not de-rail the thread with discussion of other submissions/miscellanea.

I saw that already. I used that to model mine. I have no prior experience do this temple while exploiting glitches.

Well for one thing, you could explode the bombchu earlier and its boring watching you wait for it to blow up. If you see the run experiment, try to do the things that he does. If your slower it doesnt matter, if you've done it, you can just make it as fast as you can go. Also blowing up the wall to the entrance could be quicker.

try frame by frame. It will help you achieve perfection with the runs and do glitches better. Just try it.
