imaddnessvi, you have a lot of work to do, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcYPTBLRnm8&feature=related this is s swordless links run his run is far more optimized than yours. Its 10 seconds slower, but that is because he includes the opening animation, which you skip. Listen its clear your not playing frame by frame, if you try doing this, it will make your runs look better. First of all you should go get the sling shot, and have the deku nut and and stick already equipped. You shouldn't stop to kill the skulta, and if you have 5 deku nuts, why do you stop to get another one? you could wipe off even more time. i know you saved 10 seconds, but this run isnt optimized. i saw a run where the slingshot was skipped, and it was about 10 seconds faster.

? I didnt stop to get another deku nut. I think its because this freakin desynced and i had to redo it again. I think what your trying to tell me is to get some extra rupees from my rupee route and buy deku nuts so i dont have to waste time killing the baba and equiping them becaus the menu screen lags. Edit. I see its because i had a savestat in the deku tree that didnt break the web so i did the run the way i would if i didnt have the deku nut. also would you be able to red my .M64 files if i upload them? Also Funnyhair if you mannaged to read the description on the video it took me 3 minutes and 14 seconds not 3 minutes and 38 seconds. Its just the lag that makes it seem long. Also mupen takes up alot of space on my laptop. If i can get on my computer ill be able to upload a beast version.

You should have been gotten the deku nut BEFORE but you already had five? you need one, why did you stop to get it?

That run of mine you posted is trash. Here's my most recent run of the Deku Tree, and even this is improvable due to the new route after breaking the web (although I'm fairly sure it's optimal using this route): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tvK0Npimfo

here's the quickest strategy for the deku tree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eOXHwQrMnU&feature=channel_page slingshot could have been skipped of course, but this was actually the deku tree section of my all temples TAS and in the old route, I got the slingshot to be able to skip the zelda's lullaby cutscene afterwards, because we wanted to get bombchus from the bottom of the well instead of spirit temple. this requieres zelda's lullaby to lower the water level in the bottom of the well

so is it possible and faster to get the bombchus from the well?

Thats my question but i figured that if we get the bombchus from the Spirit temple we get the child part done and requirm of spirit.

the idea was to go to spirit temple as adult with lots of superslides, what is actually the thing, that seems to make it quicker requiem of spirit would be skipped completely boths routes are very close, but in the end, it turned out to be best to do deku tree as adult, go to spirit temple as child and get bombchus, do DC and jabu then and get adult

why even do the deku tree? i thought it was possible to skip all medallions by going through the door of time. but i guess you're doing some kind of all-medallion TAS?

It's kind of the definition of a MST run to do all Dungeons. ;)

and I always thought, that it is obvious, that you have to beat all dungeons in the all temples TAS :/

MrGunz are you currently working on any run for OoT? I seem to remember you talking about a low% run. Though that was ages ago

There was someone working on a low% TAS, but they've pretty much ceased all activety on this site. I don't think Grunz is working on an all stones/medalions atm. He's focusing his efforts on MM, interestingly there's probably about 30 mins of improvements in both the runs he's doing.

So, if I resume, there isn't any low% run being worked on, any 100% run, any any% run ?

Majora's Mask was in desperate need of an improvement anyway. Ocarina of Time has Bloobiebla's run, while Majora's Mask has a publication that's pretty much obsoleted due to new tricks we found.

well I can't help but find Majoras Mask boring compared to OoT. I am very much looking forward to the ongoing runs in OoT. There are so many improvements to be made. Especially to the current any% run which imo really sux. If swordless & co doesn't finish that run, then I guess that opens the door for somebody else. MrGunz: do u have any WIP from your run currently half through spirit temple? I would really love to see it. Have you done all the child dungeons?

I really agree with you only because teh glitches are easier in Majora than OoT. BTW i havent been on because i am getting ready to go to school (Sep 8) Also it would be a waste to edit one of my post but here is the run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6A1mnoB49c I am also playing some pokemon so no more Oot or Majoras mask until school gets boring.

School is already boring enough as it is. Your getting better at TASing though, keep on practicing!
