I want proof that it's possible to cross GV without hookshot or ISG.

I'm sure it's possible to get over there without ISG. You jsut have to be pixel perfect and that should be possible for a TAS. You are all talented guys, so why don't you test it? o.O

I've been trying it a million times. I can't do it. (I have tried on my console)

A while ago I spent a few hours on it and was getting really close with different superflips but was never able to get across without ISG. It seems probably possible but it could be just slightly too long of a gap to make. I may spend more time on it in a few days if nobody else makes it across by then

So, since the bug has been fixed is Swordless Link or someone else going to make the run we've all been waiting so long for?

New discoveries/improvements effectively mean we have to start all over again.

Mitjitsu The only real improvement is the 3 sec improvement on the rupee-route. I don't count the magic beans early since that's useless if u can't get across Gerudo Valley without hookshot, which I still don't think is possible.

It doesn't matter if it's only a 3 second improvement early on, it requires a radical strategy change. With that also comes randomness so we'd have to do Hyrule Field and Kakariko again. The Gerudo bridge skip is so marginal that it can't be deemed to be impossible Regardless there is a new WIP I've kept for the last few weeks.

If it was me I would ignore the 3 sec improvement to rupee-route. Mr Grunz hasn't implied anything about finishing an any% TAS for this game yet. Also the bridge is impossible to get over without hookshot.

why do you say it is impossible? you tested on console and I highly doubt, that you know all the different possible ways to possibly cross that gap with a mega flip ;)

Feel free to try it =P I say it's impossible because no one has been able to do it, and I don't think anyone will. I have been wrong before though...

Call me a noob, but I wonder about this, too. Even if you can't mega flip over, why not just go out of your way for Epona? You'd still be saving time compared to the current route, wouldn't you?

2 reasons: 1. at the time, we get bombs, we have bottle on B. so no way to steal epona, because you can't activate ISG. 2. getting epona costs pretty much as much time as magic beans would save

why was the bridge skip possible with the isg, but not without?

ISG allows you to get to the end of the ledge as close as possible, that's why it works with ISG. here's the video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuDcK_3bPAM

So do I, but no one has sucessfully proved it yet. It's probably gonna require some pixel perfect side roll.

I've never said it is possible. all i say is, that you can't say, that it is impossible and that is obviously true :P

I know it lets you mega flip closer the ledge but why. Why can't you do that without it? Aren't there ways to do sideways/backwards facing rolls and what not? and what about mega side-hop? Maybe there's some new glitches to found like mega flip out of a SS, or grabbing a cuco before a mega flip.

there are no cucos as adult
