You need to save and not continue, then select your file again.

Yeah, but you can't record a reset right now!

Where's the reset that's being recorded? Sigh.

By "not continue", you mean hit Reset, right? Otherwise you can't re-select your file. Or is there a nearby enemy you can kill yourself on? Wait... Doesn't jumping into a deadly hazard make you lose a heart after you come back in this game? I remember they changed that for Majora's Mask, but I think in Ocarina of Time you could just keep jumping until you're dead. Oh, okay... So don't choose "Continue" after you die?

... -_- When you die, the game asks you two questions: 1) Do you want to save? 2) Do you want to continue? You need to select Yes for the first question and No for the second question. You're then taken back to the file select screen, where you can continue from your house. There are no hard resets involved.

Im up to Iron Knuckle and just enough health to die upon the drop after I get the Gauntlets. What would be the fastest way to get him?

Jump slash followed by power crouch stabs. You may have to manipulate the iron knuckle's attack (is that even possible?) so that he doesn't hit you when you crough stab him.

Jump attack with Deku Stick + 7 crouching stabs. Try to manipulate luck per DK64_MASTER.

past iron knuckle. I couldnt figure out how to get the Armos with the sword, so I used a deku stick on him and took damage for later. So then I dont use a stick on iron knuckle and rather I just Jump Slash and Crouch Stab him at the necessary time. I dont know where else there could be a shortcut. If someone finds out, help out! M64 File: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=03AB681808C84454 Save State File: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=E466A50A7E9F8973 -The save state is at the start of the spirit temple upon entering the hole. Also, I think I am going to have to wait on the drawbridge to come back down since it gets dark . BTW, on the WIKI Test Run page, why would I need to get more Bombachus? Where will all 10 of them go? 1. Once I get them, on the wall. 2. Boost across Hyrule Castle moat. 3. Blowing off the rocks in Lost Woods to get to Goron City(I figured a jump slash into Jabu will be easier) 4. Blow open entrance to Dodongo's Cavern. 5 & 6. Light the eyes in Dodongo. 7. Bombchu boost onto seam in the Graveyard. Thats all I can think of. Also, do I need to plant bean as a child anywhere?

Liked your efficiency and speed through Spirit Temple. Only question I have is didnt FierceLinkMaster show how to grab those big blocks faster by pushing-releasing? However he was pushing while you are pulling/grabbing so it might not work.

Movie looks cool, but I think my movie desynced after talking with the bird.

To get magic, you'll need three, or possibly two. There are two boulders blocking the way up, and you have to get in the fairy entrance. There's also the floor that you'll have to bomb that drops into Dodongo King's lair. Also, you could use two bombchus to skip the miniboss in Jabu Jabu, though I don't know if you'd have enough before going by Kakariko Village if you did that. If you have time where you'd have to wait for the sun to come up, maybe you should go to the bottom of the well during that time, since you'd have to travel a bit more in Hyrule Field that way. It actually wouldn't add in too much more time, since you wouldn't need to plant a bean at the graveyard. It would probably be made up by the time saved in Jabu Jabu, and it would look cooler too, I'd say. And you won't need any beans, though you'll have to spend thousands or rerecords getting hit by the poe in just the right way. . . . Edit: Oh yeah, I think you need one in the Shadow Temple too. Actually, you'll need two of them there. And possibily in the Spirit and/or Forest as well.

Same here. Movie desynched either while talking with the bird or after. I don't know what's wrong since I was able to watch everything from this run except for that part. Raw data is selected and I use all the same plugins.

Very nice progress through the spirit temple. The movie desynched at the owl, but it seems that your goal in this WIP was to get past the iron knuckle, so it's a minor problem :). 1 critique. I thought that there was a faster block pulling method. You keep on un-ztargeting something, but I could be wrong. I think FLM demonstrated it. I'll let a more experienced player like AKA or Arcyte answer that question. Good iron knuckle fight, he couldn't touch you!

You can only do that when pushing a block.

Didn't AKA say that you could do a jump stick attack on the Armos and have the power preserved until the Iron Knuckle?

damnit. why does it mess up after the owl? Ill fix the problem. Also, did anyone find a way around the night coming and me missing Hyrule Castle by like 10 seconds? And BTW, the only strategy I found on the block moving is that once I pull the block, once it starts to move you can let go and it will finish the moving by itself and it let me save some frames by not having to pull it to a complete stop.

I thought there was some cockamamie scheme to light both eyes in the Dodongo Cavern with but a single chu?

It has yet to be pulled off. EDIT - I thought time of day wasn't saved when you save and restart. In other words, every time you load your game it should be morning. So if you backwalk to Hyrule Castle from the forest, you should barely make it. Unless I'm wrong on this... EDIT 2 - Acryte finally showed a way to enter the Great Fairy's Fountain without explosives. Video here. Bombchus should be just enough. (Parens indicate steps in the Wiki route) 1. Spirit Temple - Let light in on second floor (1-14) 2. Hyrule Castle - Skip over moat (2-5) 3. Jabu-Jabu - Damage boost to boss antechamber (2-13) 4. Lost Woods - Open warp to Goron City (2-19) 5. Dodongo's Cavern - Light right eye (2-22) 6. Dodongo's Cavern - Light left eye (2-22) 7. Dodongo's Cavern - Open boss chamber (2-22) 8. Death Mountain Trail - Remove boulder (2-23) 9. Death Mountain Trail - Remove boulder (2-23) 10. Bottom of the Well - Blow open crack for more Bombchus (2-27) Also, note that you should catch a fish after you finish Jabu-Jabu in order to perform a bottle glitch in Dodongo's Cavern that saves quite a bit of block-pushing. More on this later.
