give them a break Eszik. They don't have to respond if they don't want to. There is also a possibility of them not even checking this thread

I know we are all frustrated about their lack of response, but there is no reason to go full sarcasm-mode Samsara. I have faith Grunz or bloob will drop some knowledge here eventually

We all have faith in them and we all know they will succeed as always. It's really you who are steering shit up.

Asking questions and raising concerns are often usefull, disregarding it as "steering shit up." only prevents progress. But I can be more clear and direct with my points. I don't believe anyone actually started the run because Grunz had exams to finish. He expressed his hope that MTA (or others) would get the rupee-manipulation done before he joined the effort. Yet there has been no indication from anyone that they have accepted the challenge. I am assuming that if someone actually produced a decent escape they would have responded in this thread. I am also still of the opinion that getting used to Bizhawk over Mupen will take some time for the people who previously used mupen. So that will probably also cause some delay, but since everyone is so high on bizhawk it must be worth it. I am really hyped for the new any% TAS so I am hoping for an update soon.

I TASed the first part where you buy the stick in the swordless route. don't know if it's the same as the chu route, but I think it's not

The first part is actually different, we need 2 sticks and deku nuts to get in botw and activate blank A, in other words 35 ruppees. Good luck for the rocks manipulation tho....

Nobody tried to dump iQue rom then trying to play it on an emulator, since this is the fastest version of the game? I am wondering why there is no emulator or rom(s) for this console?

Think about how ridiculously hard it is to make an N64 emulator. Now imagine the same difficulty, except it's a different, rare console with even less documentation and almost no games or interest. Why would anyone want to make an iQue emulator? It's extremely esoteric.

Well, tbh I thought iQue was close to a N64, then you don't have to start from scratch, guess I was wrong. :P I mean, iQue is "just" an emulator playing roms like VC does, no? ;D

It's not an emulator like VC. The game is running directly on its hardware.

Reading wikipedia, the hardware for the iQue is looks to be the same stuff as an N64, so it should be possible to create a binary (rom) file that is compatible with existing N64 emulators. The tricky thing is getting to that readable binary. Looking at the files that Aleckermit gave me years ago, it appears that the files are compressed and probably encrypted. There is something weird that I've noticed though. The Ocarina of Time cache folder contains two rather large files: one that's 29MB in one folder, and one that's 40 MBs in a second folder. I have a theory on the contents of these files: The 29MB file may be a 32MB oot rom, equivalent to a direct rip of an n64 rom, that has been compressed/encrypted with whatever algorithm. Or, it could be the demo that comes pre-installed. The 40MB file however may be a 64MB oot rom where the internal yaz0 files have all been decompressed. Then the 64 MB file has been compressed/encrypted with the same whatever algorithm. So there could actually be two different iQue roms.

Why would there be two ROMs?
