I call lol at it working even though I'm not registered at Torrent Matrix and the status clearly says "Failure: Unrecognized host. Please go to http://torrentmatrix.com to sign-up or login." :P

The Clients that are connected to are using uTorrent, so I suggest using that. And to Fabian and everyone else about my encode: Antialias off isnt that so terrible its hardly noticable, when people watch a video their eyes arent going to try to focus on every little detail. Especially if they encode it using a low bitrate because they want the smallest file size. Then the picture looks blurrly and mud quality, NOW that is what is noticable. Most people are probably even satisfied with medium quality and just want to see the run and not care. So I think my encode is fine.

I think the goal for encoding on this site is to provide as low filesizes as possible with good quality, 1Gb is just so damn big, even if it's good quality.

I think it would be better if someone downloaded it and compressed it and put it on the archive.org. I hate bit-torrents because I get excetionally low download speeds. If someone has a director account on YouTube you could put it there.

I have registered on the site, but I never get an Email from them so I can activate my account... How long time does it take? I've always got the email at once after registered, but now it seems to take years, oh well.

a 2h30m avi can easily look ok at 400MB if encoded with x264 3-pass at 320x240. My ganon video a few pages back was 300kbit/s ad looked fine, a 400MB avi would be 350kbits. for capturing, it should be 640x480 with nothing, or 320x240 with antialiasing. I'm not getting the video and I can't encode one myself because of a desync on child gerudo/colossus. Just trying to help the next one who wants to try to make an avi that will be accepted.

Did you already try? Your Ganon video looked more than acceptable.

Try submitting something. It should notice you haven't activated the account and send you another email.

Read the FAQ now: "I registered an account but did not receive the confirmation e-mail! You can use this form to delete the account so you can re-register. Note though that if you didn't receive the email the first time it will probably not succeed the second time either so you should really try another email address." Have to create a new email then, *sigh*... EDIT: I wrote my email again to try to "recover the account". This time I got an email, but only with information about my account; username and a new password. But I still haven't been able to register my account so I can't still log in...

Yeah very true that is why I stopped seeding the one that I had, the bitrate is pretty high. I think I might reencode it later at 320x240 at 350 kbits. As for the antialias it should of been on as default on the plugin cause when I was capturing it I didn't really notice anything bad about the quality. The capturing part is the hardest part. I'm not going to redo that part. And a lot of people seem to insult me about the video for all of my hard work so I don't know if its worth it to share it on the internet. As for the 3pass thing that would take forever. I just want to watch the dang thing. As for people complaining that I didn't read the guidelines at the site, well I wasnt really planning on making this video for the site I was just hoping that maybe he would accept it, I just wanted to make the video for everyone else. If mupen had something that it would split the avi files every 1.5 gb then I might recapture it. Otherwise the avi files seem to get corrupt at a certain size with h264 lossless. Plus it wasn't my computer that I was capturing it on, I can't hog about the computer forever because its not mine.

I haven't seen the movie, only the whole run on the emulator so I don't know what the quality looks like. There are no seeders for the movie... Is a new one planned to be released? Should I stop the current torrent?

Yeah, I just got done saying in my reply that I stopped it because I think peoples computers would have a hard time playing it and I might need to reencode it to reasonable size. Plus last night when I was seeding it the power went out in the whole house and I waited for it to come back on for about 30 mins and it didn't , so I said the heck with it and went to bed. Just wait for someone else maybe to encode it or maybe I will reencode my encode.

EDIT: whoa, when I capture there are no desyncs. ok. I should have the avi ready tomorrow night unless real life prevents it.

I don't see insults in this thread, I just see criticism. We know it's work, and you spent a lot of time on it. Don't feel discouraged if your first attempt is flawed and not as helpful as intended *hands HiddenGamer a certain triforce piece* :p oh, @ nightcom: http://www.jaytheham.com/zc/oot.php?page=ootba

Guano, I've done you a favour and have optimized the opening sequence for up to the point where Link jumps out of bed, it'll save you a few minutes of heartace and will allow you to jump straight into action I'll update the ruppee route wiki now. http://rapidshare.de/files/28316973/THE_LEGEND_OF_ZELDA__USA_.m64.html Remember to rename it to prevent other people thinking that it was me who done the whole run (lol). EDIT: There it is updated of course slight variations showed be tested around the reccomendations http://mwlin.freehostia.com/wiki/index.php?title=TAS_Corrections#Kokiri_Forest

Hah I checked Guano from Power on till last text box disapearing took 12991 frames I used frame advance and got 12967 frames Difference is 12991 - 12967 = 24 frames And time wise 0.40 or 0.3999999984 seconds. So yep whenever any text box appears use frame advance which is actually B,*blank,A,A,B,B,A,A,B,B and not A,B,A,B, Since buttons seem to be active for two frames and not one. I realised as soon as I tried to lleave Links house that I would never be able to TAS this game on a keyboard. Question: How do you toggle between frame advance and slowdown? AND when is Mupen getting updated, a resume recording feature would be good for a start.

Use the pause key to get out of frame advance, default is E.
