Guys, please quit the page number and post counting garbage. It's not only juvenile, but adds absolutely nothing to the topic. Anyway, the Dodongo's Cavern route will be (1) -> (3) (Store ground jump off of Baby Dodongo) -> (8) (10) -> (11) -> (12) (Acryte's SB) -> (16) (Get Bomb Bag) (17) (Light eyes; lava pit text skip) -> (18) (Switch trick if getting bottle; otherwise bomb hover to block) -> (19) -> (20) -> (BOSS) http://www.zelda.com/ocarina/pdf_files/02_dodongo_ocarina.pdf Videos of all tricks are available from Acryte's Youtube profile.

Stored Ground Jump off bomb/flower 5. The Staircase of bomb/flower 6, 7, & 8. To get bomb bag 9. To cross the moat 10. Valley of Doom

With that extra bombchu used will there be enough? I was wondering how far back you could store a ground jump up for this place, maybe there is a less out of the way thing you store it on. Or do you lose the ground jump when you jump off a ledge?

Yay! I have finally been able to register here. Very nice run so far GuanoBowl. The way you do the cucco jumpslash over the gate always seems to me amaze me. I've noticed that you do the Skulltula trick in the Deku Tree slow (for a TAS). You can do simultaneous side-hops as long as you side-hop left to right instead of left, left, right, left, etc. You still did it fast so it's not a big deal. Anyways, I can't wait to see the next part. I believe you're storing a ground jump off of the Bomb Flower using a Bombchu as the blast. That will be cool to see.

I thought there was a video on how to skip the lava pit text in Dodongo Cavern. If so, can someone post the url. Thanks

I really hope the moat can be done with a bomb, since it would save time in Jabu, because we wouldn't need to do the bomb hover. I've never seen a video of Acryte clearing the Valley of Doom but it sounds logical what he did, I just hope its true because thats what the run relies on for it to work. As far as I remember he said you hover boost, do back-flip and pull out a bombchu and the momentum combined with the explosion should force Link up onto the other side.

Okay, now we have where the bombchu's are going to be set off. Now its time to find out where the bombs are going to be set. I have 20 & picking up any would be a loss of time (if possible to not grab any). So: 1 & 2: Light the eyes in Dodongo 3, 4, 5, & 6: Get up to the block faster for the switch in Dodongo 7: Blow up boulder in Zora's River 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13: To get past King Zora I cant think any further right now. 7 bombs is left with 2 bombchus. I can superslide off probably 3 without worry of running out. If I missed something, post up.

You definitley need refills at certain points of the game. The start of Zora's river would be a good place and the graveyard as well. You also have to remember to perform the BA by having so many deku nuts in your inventory. The best place to get deku nuts is probally that plant in the Forest Temple where you'd perform the megajump. Its also very important to have as full an inventory as possible when your quickly changing as a child and back to an adult during the BA. There is no place in FT where you could possibly collect bombs, so Lake Hylia might be worth doing as well. In Ganon's tower the beamos can be maipulated to drop bombs so refills are there also, but I'd heavilly advise getting the bombchu's in the next room, because there's twenty and it makes beating the tower enemies more easily because the bombs have a delayed explosion (obviously) while chu's will exploding on touching the enemy and possibly catch the one nearby. The other decision that needs to be made is Scarecrow Song VS Magic Bean debate I personally think the scarecrow song is a better option, but Acryte thinks magic bean is. The scaresong is obtained by making up a song of eight notes provides there not all the same, and then repeated as an adult to remind the scarecrow of when he met you as a child. This is of course relating to fishing in Lake Hylia as an adult. All in all I wouldn't risk running low on bombs for futures sake.

So you're doing the King Zora skip after all? It was determined that it took less time to get a bottle via Kakariko or to actually wake the dude up than it does to skip his animation?

Yes, you can skip the moat using a bomb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqg221x52eY I think this way is easier and faster than the staircase hover method.

Not skipping King Zora is definetly not faster than skipping him.

You might want to confirm that (or get Acryte to) before Guano starts doing any BA-specific stuff, so he doesn't end up doing months of work for nothing.

"Xenos" from SDA discovered a nice little timesaver in Deku, but it's probably too late to go back and change that, eh? =/
I found an interesting short time saver in the Deku Tree. After you have done the Deku skip off the skulltula, if you walk directly to the web you will stop at the edge of the hole. You can then deactivate the sword glitch and grab onto the edge going through the web in the process and drop off it onto the floor below. Sometimes this glitch doesn't work and you will be able to walk on top of the web. I haven't found a way to get the glitch working 100% of the time but it works most of the time. Edit: I was talking about the second web that you break before the room with the three Deku scrubs. You can go straight through that web instead of having to jump off the block and lighting the deku stick. It only saves five or so seconds but it is also easier than lighting the stick.

Yes I've done it. Crap! I even posted a link to the savestate for pj64 lol. But yea it's very possible. Its also very difficult. Just angle yourself so that you can be blown up and pushed in the proper direction (while near the far edge of the seam, because it's closer there) and then roll (not sure if that was necessary, I haven't done it in a while) and then after full extension of the bomb boosted hover, do a backflip... then time it so that you shield drop the bombchu late into the backflip and you will make it up. Also, travelling slightly to the left is also good since it slopes down to the left and you need slightly less height to get it. the main part is making sure you unleash the bombchu late in the backflip. That is a little tip that makes it 1000 times easier, and actually replicateable off of a savestate at full speed about 80%-100% of the time.

Firstoff Moat can be done w/ bomb I just suck apparently. Fluffy just showed me a vid of it. As far as ganon early, yes I've done it. Crap! I even posted a link to the savestate for pj64 lol. I was pretty sure you can't use the scarecrow song there. I tried it when I was trying to get BA light arrows to work and I couldn't do it. I made the song... went forwards in time, stood down there and played it and got nothin. I was freakin ticked cuz I was sure that you could do it since navi goes green and all that. So as far as I know you can't get up there w/ scarecrow's song, unless my bersion is all screwed up or I'm just a complete moron, but I tried standing all over the place and I couldn't do it. I swore you should have been able to but I couldn't. So... I think magic bean is the only option.

I guarantee you that the scarecrow song works. You've just applied the wrong learning method which is. 1. Visit Scarecrow as Child and play song . 2. Play it to the scarecrow as an adult so it can be properly learned. 3. Play it wherever Navi goes green for no aparent reason. note: One note must be different.

Shit... how did you zipp above that statue? :) Frame perfect boss fight. Edit: Although I wonder if you could've been a bit faster with the Bombchu jumping. Edit 2: It should also be faster implementing Fierce's block-pushing technique.

Your movie desynced at the start of Dondongo's, you backwalk then grab the ledge. I ususally have the input set to TAS 0.6, but when I used the original pluggin you had used it desynced when you blew the boulders at Goron City.
