Great wip, AngerFist! Flameman is the stage I was hoping to improve the most when I started my newest run with FCEU and you did pretty much everything I wanted to accomplish, only better. I'm anxiously waiting to see what you can do with the Blizzardman and Plantman stages.

Looks nice. I was just wandering if anyone was going to start MM6 run someday soon :) Only point where I started to wander if it could have been done faster was around frame 2500 when you stop to wait the floating cloud thingy to cross the oil with. Couldn't you just go through the oil without it or are you unable to jump high enough from the oil to get out of there in the other end? Otherwise, seems extremely good. I'll be checking this topic atleast daily from now on. :) [EDIT]: I loved the way Kyrsimys beat up Blizzard Man, with the sliding under him and so. I hope you'll watch his battle few times before making your own to make it atleast as interesting as Kyrsimys'.
Which run should I encode next? :)

Thanks Kyrsimys, means a lot that you liked that :) But unfortunately, Bisqwit my Nemesis ^_^ found a part (<temporary obsolete image url removed by Bisqwit>) where I could improve by simply jumping earlier and sliding on that ladder... It will take a while to redo the whole stage :( Maza, that is correct, I cannot jump to that platform without it. Edit: I feel soooo lucky and relief too say that I actually didnt lost any frames on that part, on the contrary, my current wip is one frame faster if I'd slide earlier on the ladder :)

It looks like you move to the Flameman icon in two steps, but the select screen accept diagonals. It that slower? Did you try sliding on the fire after being hurt, instead of riding the enemies? The boss battle strategy looks weird, but I'm sure there is some sense to it.

1 and 3 should be obvious. It's the select screen and the boss. For 2, never mind. I checked again and I think you are already using that trick in all places where it is possible.

Truncated, I just tested your suggestion regarding diagonal picking and I couldnt make it work. The fastest frame I could pick F.Blast were at frame 9474. If you can pick it faster, let me know. About the boss fight, well I think adelikat could give an answer to your question since he did it.

I was talking about the boss selection screen (about frame 545), you can move to Flameman in one step (up+right, start) instead of two steps (right, up, start). It's the same thing at frame 8214, but there it looks like you actually move in a diagonal. If you found another trick in the weapon selection screen, good for you. :) About the boss fight, it just looks strange that he stays vulnerable for such long periods while you're charging up. I have no ideas or things that I actually think you did wrong. Perhaps something like shooting the charged shot from a distance, slide further away to shoot an uncharged shot that hits him when he becomes vulnerable again, and charge up on that shot instead. But yeah, I'm grasping at straws here. I've been watching the Blizzard level, and it looks like there are some places where you wait for two frames after a slide before doing anything (for example jumping). Frame examples: 9237, 9353, 9548, 10065, etc. Does jumping take an extra frame as opposed to shooting or sliding again (which seems to only take one frame)?

Yes you have to wait between 1-2 frames after each slide depending on the situation (for instance, jumping as you mentioned). Unfortunately, Mega Man works this way in this game.

This WIP update is a strange one... First, let me tell everyone that this stage, was a Real Pain In the ARSE! It involved, luck manipulation, several different jumping routes in the end, blood&tears you name it. You'll probably see that during the last zone, I jump awkwardly a bit too long but I can ensure you all that those jumps have all been measured and tested. Meaning, if I would have for instance jumped 13 pixel to reach platform X, I wouldnt make it as its obviously required to jump 14 pixel (you get the picture). Now, if someone would improve this stage, you'd have to pick, a drastically different jumping route or something huge that I missed, because honest to God, I really checked so many different things to make it faster without any luck. This is the best (so far) I could do, and as always, everyone, please give me some feedback if you detect the slighest thing you want to ask or you saw something that I may have overlooked etc. Grab our WIP RIGHT HERE

Lookin' good. Funny thing is that when I was a li'l kid, I loved Mega Man games. I owned Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 6 cartridges (no idea how I got megaman6 since it was never released in europe), and AngerFist is TASing both. :)
