Playing around. Just for fun, I had no intention to be fast. I Can still improve it a lot, but, as the save state function doesn't work properly with this game, doing it can be a bit frustrating! Because of this, I think that this is the first TAS of the Shadow Dancer Arcade! I'm satisfied with the final result. The game was developed on the Sega System 18 motherboard hardware. Home versions were released for the Master System and various home computers. A loose adaptation was also developed for the Mega Drive/Genesis titled Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: FBA-RR v0.0.7 EmulatorResources/Fbarr
  • The objective of each stage is also slightly changed from retrieving time bombs to rescuing hostages, much like in the original Shinobi arcade game.

feos: Judging...
feos: Hi BrunoRaji, and welcome to TASVideos! If savestates aren't properly/fully implemented for a particular Arcade driver, it would mean that game can't be effectively TASed. It's not possible for a human to tweak tiny portions of input having a backup state only at the start of the level. Among all other platforms this game was published for (excluding the Genesis version, which is different), only Master System is fully TASable, while for this version, it's not. Rejecting, with a hope you'll do an SMS run for this game.

http://tasvideos.org/709M.html Port isn't 1:1, but it is emulated correctly and I don't really see how you can make this game a playaround.

It can either be a playaround or not. IT CANNOT BE BOTH. Edit: The branch has now been removed so now it looks like I'm bitching about nothing.

The Arcade/SMS version is not the same as the Genesis.

I messed up with the description, it's my first video, really don't know what do say there, for sure playaround it's not the right term. About the improve, well... The game does not support the save state function, so you have to do save before the stage begins, Otherwise http://i.imgur.com/Y3txxDL.png And don't even try to edit some earlier stage http://i.imgur.com/rXFjmBG.png if it is rejected, that ok, try to do better next time, here is the movie on youtube: Link to video
