It's debatable how different the final product would actually look from a 120 star BLJ-including run of the same quality though.
I suppose it also depends on how badly mr_roberts_z happens to break some stages in the 120 star run.
I would enjoy seeing it, and it would possibly be a publishable category if the 120 star run gets too broken by BLJs.

Hi five to you too snorlax.
And yes, I was raising my hand. I assumed you would have known my stance on a BLJless 70 star run due to the 2 page argument we had a while ago where I said "70 stars would be fun!", and you said "No, no one will ever find it entertaining, ever!"

No, I said that there was no point, and I still do tbh, because BLJ's don't ruin any fun, they only add. But if people actually want to see this done, and it will actually be accepted, then it might be considered. My question was mostly out of curiosity though.
If a BLJ-less 70 star run appeared out of nowhere, then cool, but making a run is actually a long process. The question is if it's worth making or not.
While I would like to see a 70 star run (BLJ less, no the are not boring, but removing them would keep the run from being a 120 star run copy - 50 stars, and I'm sure plenty of entertaining strategies could be found instead of BLJ's), what I would really like to see is a playaround, because frankly the most entertaining videos of this game I have seen is those of Mario doing random extremely crazy stuff. Grabbing whatever stars you feel like, no restrictions on what glitches to use, and finish it in half an hour.
another idea that myslef and others was a sm64 run trying to beat the game in the minimal amount of a button presses. while this would still equal a 70 star run (since you couldnt blj due to a presses) the run would be quite slow paced and boring in some places (swimming...).
besides that, i think a blj-less 70 star run would be entertaining, so many route changes for stars, showing how the game was intended to be played, except perfectly, and what stars would prove the fastest for this.
If this gets to be a popular idea, i would enjoy helping with the run and proposing routes and things.

so more of like freerunning while completing it, like this 0 tas?

Is it just me or does that run show a faster DDD skip than the current 0-star TAS that was just submitted...?
Edit: haha, ok my eyes were playing tricks on me, nevermind :P
It's not contradictory and I don't need to prove it as you don't (lets not extend this to "msn proof")
It's an opinion/thought of yours that makes many readers believe it as it's a "fast" solution to the situation
I won't say "or at least" as twelvepack said, but just that foolish would fit in better
Btw, don't even ask why I made this quote, but I felt I had to post this comment

As far as I'm aware, no one is doing the run at the moment. There is no need to ask for permission to do a run anyway, just do it if you want to. If you seek the experience, it doesn't matter how optimal or close to perfect it is, right? In any way, I'm very interested in it, so go right ahead, no one is stopping you.

It's a year to the day since I found how to get past the 30 star door, I've decided to mark the occasion with the video I managed to capture at the time.

wuhwhat? Is that the spiral staircase after the second key door I see at 1:37? While BLJing to get into BitDW?
Even the best player is limited by the speed of his fingers, or his mind's ability to control them. But what happens when speed is not a factor, when theory becomes reality?

You are seeing the staircase, but you can't actually go up the stairs because that room is not loaded yet. In reality, all you are seeing is a clone of the staircase room. If you attempt to go up the staircase, you will be blocked by an invisible wall marking the edge of the first floor area. The real staircase (along with the second and third floor) is loaded when you trigger the opening of the key door. But you can't do that unless you have the key or you opened the door with the key already. (or can you... DUN DUN DUN!!!)
