Hmm, I am not quite sure when, I am still trying to figure this out, and I have to find a computer running Windows XP and do the m64 because mupen crashes whenever I try to make the movie file..and I was told it is because I am using Vista I run Vista as well and I constantly use Mupen, as well as made a 3-hour OoT TAS. If you need help running Mupen correctly I can try to help you find out what the problem(s) are/is. My AIM address in on my profile.

I don't particularly care about SM64, or much in this thread for that matter, but I shall comment on this. Perhaps the only plausible proof that people would accept regarding the underwater door entering would be the following (all in the same video, in the style you did before with the tv and such visible): 1) you jumping into the water and having it behave like normal when you enter the water 2) proceed to get out of the water and get on top of the castle 3) proceed to do the blj to get underwater as seen in one of those videos 4) opening the moat door while there's water in the moat I imagine that this would be more likely to be believed than the alternative, but it's entirely your choice on what you do in this matter.

I did probably 300 trials which looked exactly like yours. I never once was in a standing still position on the wall which you managed to achieve TWICE in 30 seconds. Sideflip, Dive, Hold A, Mash B I tried this and other variants. If it IS doable, then what could I possibly be doing wrong that makes it so easy for you. I still have my doubts unfortunately. Again, all we're asking is to present this in some form that makes it recreateable. An explanation that allows any of us to achieve the same results or a .m64. No one can stand still on slopes except you.

Oh, I believe it. I'm also quite happy with my iPod taser full of taser mp3 files. And I don't even have to worry about discharged batteries anymore... WE LUV U YOUTUBE

Hey, what video are you guys all talking about? I looked 4 pages back (before krohn7master started posting here) and can't see any links to one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SltTSySbUi0 0:57. Now let's try to figure out how it's done. KrohnIndustry has no idea - it happened randomly. He has no proof he didn't use GS, but it's still worth testing. That.

So everyone thinks it is fake? can the under water GS code be enabled/disabled on the fly or does it apply to specific area's? (like a code for outside the castle, one for the basement, etc. etc.) because after he goes through the door, he hops out of water and dives back in and is swimming. EDITED.

So everyone thinks it is fake? I can't speak for everyone, but at the moment, I think it's fake. But I'd love to be proven otherwise. can the under water GS code be enabled/disabled on the fly? I'm pretty sure it can, which furthers the likelihood that it's fake. But still, I'll wait until I see the m64 (or lack of one) before making any final judgement.

If the cheat is retro active, then I will join everyone in saying it is fake. The only way he can prove himself (by means other then being a complete jack ass) is by providing a M64 file.

This is one elaborate deception if its fake. Not many people could fake that so convincingly, I really think it might be real.

I hope this is proof enough that it was done via Gameshark: Super Mario 64 - Gameshark Water Walk Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo0k1ze7jKE

Indeed it's convincing that the video was done using that cheat, but the videos also suggest to me that the door is fully functional :) I still think it may be possible to use the door if mario moves from standing-on-ground to be-in-front-of-door in 1 frame (which could be tested using GS)

If you need me to test anything else, just tell me. It doesn't take long to record a video and upload it.

I have nothing to say regarding the moat door, but for standing on the slope trick in the lobby, I have managed to stand up there once without any codes. It was on the left side of the key door, though, not the right, and when I finlly managed it, my head was stuck in the ceiling and I couldn't move so I ended up having to reset. But just saying.

Happened to me too once, a really long time ago. Standing on that area isn't such a big deal...the problem is walking/running in the downwards direction without beginning to slide down. =P

So this kid can't even figure out Mupen64 but he can BLJ by hand consistently? Right-o. But yeah if Mr. "I don't sit around making mario movies" (which...he does) wants to prove himself, I think he has to walk into the water swimming, then do his made-up bullshit to get into the water walking. This is not going to happen though and one thing I was going to say was that he doesn't seem to understand that one doesn't need a cart-on-cart setup to have a GS working on the SM64 cartridge... He also failed to address SL's suggestion about playing pre-made footage (i.e. gameshark/tas'd stuff that he TV-out'd to his TV.) We don't hear the insane tapping of the A button and we certainly don't see it. So, anyway...

If you can also run an emulator then the following would be a good test i think: 1) find RAM locations and cheats for mario X, Y and Z locations 2) find values for X, Y, Z that are in front of the castle moat door (find these while water is lowered so height for standing-on-ground is ok) 3) stand on solid ground with the water raised on a new file 4) rotate mario so that he would be facing the door 5) pause emu 6) activate X Y Z cheats with the found values 7) continue emu

I don't remember, but what is the use of the button on the gameshark ? Does it enable/disable the cheat code ?

The only use I remember was pressing it to get 99 coins. It's possible that any code could be modified to be activated when the button is pressed.

As mentioned earlier an .m64 will prove everything beyond doubt, because it would be impossible to cheat that way, since if it was GSed it would desync when everyone else tries to watch it. An AVI or camcorder footage doesn't prove it because it can be potentially faked. For example in the video that you recently posted you can easilly have pre-recorded footage and pretended to be playing it.

You are a fucking fool, You probably didn't even watch the video kid, and if you did, I CLEARLY showed and told that I was using an autofire controller. So if you seriously think this is fake because you couldn't hear me mashing A, then you're a complete retard. You guys also don't seem to understand that the water thing was totally random, and I have never, ever been able to do that again...and I doubt I ever will be able to. I mean, you guys are expecting me to be able to do this trick again in my sleep like its nothing...no! and Hahahaha Pre-Recording? Thats almost as dumb as you saying its fake because you couldn't hear me pressing buttons. Maybe if you actually watched the video, I clearly showed my recorder was aside UNPLUGGED and there was no way it could of been in use. And you guys seriously think I actually hid another N64 behind the TV, hid another copy of Super Mario 64, and hid all the hardware behind that little thing? Thats pathetic...AND it doesn't even give a reason to this to be fake because the guy "playing" would have to of done the trick himself too. Can you guys also give a reason why I was able to turn on the N64 for you guys? And can you guys give a reason why I was sliding down hills and stuff at the beginning of the bowser level, and the beginning of the video? I mean...that DEFINATELY means I was using GameShark codes, even though there wasn't any GameShark.

Again, I'd like to re-emphasise that if you post an .m64 we can't possibly nullify your claims.
