Hows the current 120 stars run going?, if it still is going. Isnt mr_robert_z doing one? and if he is, is he just a little bit pissed that by the time he finishes, there will be another billion timesavers available?
Patience, dude.

I just read that and realised how rash I sounded. What I was trying to get across in my bumbling speech was if I could get a link to the progress of the 120 star run. I know there's a link, but I can't find it anywhere.

WIP - 33 Stars Done (what ShinyDoofy posted) Anyway, so yeah, there it is. I'm redoing much of it (for the last time..) because of all the new timesavers, but this should give you a good idea of what's been going on with it. Enjoy, and any/all feedback is appreciated. I'll try to answer any questions about it, but just keep in mind that all the obsolete stuff will be redone.

I really enjoyed it. JRB (as always) is a course I don't really like, but you kept it entertaining and fast enough for me not to skip through it. Some of the BoB and WF stars were really great, quite some of them with surprising routes. All in all, keep it up! :)

Awesome WIP rob_z. Only thing that I noticed was at 20:24 when you did some jump kick that looked really unoptimized. Other than that awesome job, keep it up!

LOL @ z0MG putting that quote from me (out of context, as before) in his sig, just because SS previously did it. My god, is there anything you DON'T do together?

Holy shit. Sweet WIP, and I can see you frustration with new time savers appearing. It looks pretty good and about 99.9% optimised. As for Swordless Link, shut the fuck up already, no-one cares. Have your little petty arguments via pm.

Ah common, just shut the f*ck up. We have enough battle in the Super Metroid thread. Don't kill this thread too. Do it via PM. We don't give a f*ck about your whining.

Anyway, good work on the 120 star TAS so far mr_roberts_z and i hope that you can eventually get it finished, even if more improvements keep getting discovered. I watched the WIP on youtube and i actually found JRB entertaining Now that's something :)

Wow, just wow, that WIP was by far the best Mario TAS'ing i've ever seen. The overall perfection, The improved strategies(not sure how much of this is your own work but really nice anyway :P), Route planning, and then the things that amazed me the most, the Flying and Swimming! Simply beautiful work there. Can't wait to see this with all newer methods implemented and future WIP's :) So yeah, incredible work mrRobertz, keep it up!

That was incredible. Like others, I normally fast forward through JRB. This time, I didn't.

Yeah JRB has become quite the level (about to watch the posted WIP, but I remember earlier snippets). DDD is now the most boring out of all the levels, I think... followed by rainbow ride for the repetition involved... and it doesn't help that the last two levels of the game have the same damn music, either. Videos posted on the previous page were awesome as well. I like that new tricks for star times are continually being discovered. Sslayers's WF sideflip wallkick is one of the crazier multiple-use timesavers I've seen.

I was just testing the C^ glitch and made this, which I though was interesting, and has gained me 2 subs in the last hour :p

Surprised nobody's commented on this one yet! It's great seeing Mario stuck in the walking animation and watching the game try to catch up as he slows down. Definitely one of the most "broken" animation glitches I've seen in the game!

This is something you just need to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJxfNQ0ovZY All credit goes to Brian (whose new TASvideos nick is BrainStormer) for this unbelievably awesome video.

That was totally insane! Kinda reminds me of a Super Mario Sunshine glitch I found. I went through a building and I don't know how or why.

This is why there needs to be a proper playaround TAS for this game.

There should be one for every game.

Would the play around even get accepted?

Maybe not but it would still be really fun to see.
