No, that would take way too much time. Maybe if there was a way to get HSWK in a few seconds...

how fast can you go during hswk? eventually you would have to press A every frame like a p-blj which would be really trippy

Not really, because with a P-BLJ, you can hit start to get out of the pause menu, so you wouldn't have to hit A every frame. As for the HSWK's, even if you would get to the speed where you'd have to press A every frame, I don't think there's anything in the game that would require that much speed to get through. It's kinda useless to go that fast when you only need so much speed. Get my drift? =)

Couldn't the pause trick be used during hyperspeed when you need to kill off Mario's speed.

I guess. If you desync A and Start, he would slow down anyway.

Wow. The YT vid's P-HSWK is kinda screwy, but still, there's nowhere you would use it. It would be useful for freerunning, but that's about it.

What the hell are you talking about? They have never used P-HSWK or HSWK in a 0 stars run.

Could someone explain what seemingly random pauses do? (outside of P-BLJing obviously) I've seen these in a few freeruns now, and it doesn't make any sense to me.

The same thing the repeated L-taps to switch between camera modes do.

Has anyone tried doing the LLL 8-coin puzzle with a BLJ off the right side of the bridge commonly used to BLJ? (Spur of the moment thought.)

It wouldn't be worth it, you would have to get low enough of speed to land and stay on the platform, and then to successfully turn would be impossible unless you had really low speed.

People are good at explaining logic in glitches and flaws in games here, so I am curious if anyone can understand how this glitch occured with the flyguy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djTuqK2VtYo

Presumably there's some part of the flyguy's logic that causes him to scale, possibly to animate making an attack of some kind. He got stuck in that part of his code because Mario died, and kept running it because you got into that death glitch loop. This caused him to scale down and down until his scale became negative, at which point he started growing again, but all of his vertices were flipped.
