Hey everyone, I'm new, but has anyone ever heard of a Katamari Damacy speed or size run? The biggest size in the total time limit? The fastest time to reach the goal? I think that would be neat to watch.

I have the game, its impossible to do either of those. Time is fixed. Size is limited (theres nothing more to gain more size once you get everything)

Fastest time to goal is doable, though I agree that "largest size" is kind of silly, as there are a finite number of objects in each level.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

well yea, time goal might be doable if you are talking about SDA splited section, like seperate record for each world (ie. SSBM break-the-target on SDA)

You wrote something, but I have no idea what it actually was....

There are bonuses on each level for accomplishing the goal in a minimal amount of time. For example, Make a Star 4 - The time limit is 10 minutes, but you get a bonus comet on that star if you can reach the goal size (1 m) in 6 minutes. I'd like to see some people beast those times in half that time.

I've played Katamari Damacy, and still own the game. I don't think a Size Run would be impossible at all, especially at the later levels. On the very last level, 'Make a Moon', I was able to pick up nearly every piece on the map before the time ran out (resulting in a collosal Katamari). So, technically, to say that there's no way to do a Size Run is ignorant. Most of the time, it only /seems/ like there's a set amount of objects to pick up in a level. But as your Katamari grows (and if you're actually fast enough to get it WAY over the limit before the time runs out), there's more of the environment that you're able to pick up. Generally, this won't apply to the first level or so, but I think it's VERY possible to do Size Runs on some, if not ALL of the levels. It's all a matter of skill.
