Post subject: what run should i focus on?

- remaking my battletoads 1 player warpless movie (i learned a backwards headbutt move that looks cool on many places, especially level 4) or - continue my work at batman (NES). this run is different in concept to the current published run because of the use of weapons. both runs can be greatly improved precision-wise due to fceu being easier to use in recording. i have a tendency of going for battletoads, i like very much to record it, but batman seems more popular, i dont know. or - do the kickmaster run (nobody has ever replied to me about this game, i think its as good as ninja gaiden or castlevania, but nobody says anything). or - holy diver (as good and maybe the toughest of all) i would like to hear what people think, comments are appreciated!

Kickmaster is a great game. I don't know how many people know about it though.

Doesn't Kickmaster freeze at a certain point in FCEU? I recall reading something about it in one of the text files that comes with it... So you're going to have to go back to Famtasia and no frame advance if that's the case. =/ And I personally would prefer Batman to Battletoads, but you do what you like. -Josh

well, remaking the battletoads one, and 10 seconds of improvement at end of level 4.... the former run looks slow compared to this (level 4 is my favorite) the batman movie is only 10 minutes long though, while the battletoads one is 27 minutes, i'm just going through battletoads while i wait for people to reply heh

I'd love to see them both. Even though battletoads is longer, it's more straightforward and might actually take less time to make. Batman will probably be more impressive though, based on your first level. So either one is fine.

did battletoads end of second snake level = 43296 frames. (12:00 minutes, against 12:21 of the previous run - 21 seconds improvement) i will spend some more time on it tomorrow night, maybe i have it finished by the weekend (maybe)

Personally, I'm all for Batman. Never played Kickmaster or Holy diver.

games where you can RUN have more potential to look impressive, imo... and battletoads gives a lot of freedom on that matter, sometimes the running looks crazy whats cool about batman is the use of weapons, and not getting hit. kickmaster needs a good planning due to a lot of special items, and also needs luck manipulation to get the power ups and experience tabs needed. theres a slide move and a flying slide move that depends on experience acquired to be able to perform, so i think focusing on getting the slide and then maybe getting the item to fly might be a good route, not too sure holy diver... well just showing a run to the end would be impressive. i tried to play it on my friend's house the other day and i couldnt get past like level 3 or something, the difficulty is insane. and i dont give up easily (batman on the other hand i can easily, easily beat)
