Here is the movie I've started, from the beginning to opening the first door. http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/eggland.zip Note that the beginning levels are not really indicative of the rest of the game--later on, there are much harder levels that were not re-used for Adventures of Lolo. Be sure to tell me if you see any mistakes now, so I won't have to redo as much! My main concern is that the final movie will be too long. I'm estimating an hour and fifteen minutes, since I believe there are 142 puzzles I have to do, and an average Lolo puzzle takes about half a minute to complete, plus I'll have to do that battle at the end. Do you think you can sit still that long?

I can definitely sit still that long if you can record it. :)

I think I would watch it once. But what is the difference to Eggerland, which is already featured on this site (incidentally, by you :P)?

Oh, well, as I was saying, it's got lots of new levels, and many of them are more difficult than the ones in the first Eggerland. It's just a shame that I can only find 10 levels to skip (the ones leading to the map and the bell). If you can think of anything else that might speed it up, please tell me. And if you're searching for ROMs, keep in mind that sometimes they're named "Eggland" or "Eggaland" instead of "Eggerland".

What Lolo game is this in the serie? I played Lolo 3 recently with someone and we got stuck more than once ;) That's a game I would like to see being beaten!

Yeah, I should probably work on Lolo 3 again. I just got sick of playing level 3-10.

So has anybody watched it yet? I know Boco's heard of this game.

I, for one, would love to see this movie done. I've not seen the other Eggerland movie yet (p2p blocked on my college campus' network), but I've played this Eggerland game, and I'd love to see some of the levels, especially the ones with the box in the bottom right, power played!

Okay. Thanks for the enthusiasm. Right now I'm working on both the old Eggerland game and this one. I've got about fifteen or sixteen seconds saved on Eggerland, but I'm still working on getting Round 45 perfect. (The levels are numbered by a cheat code.) It's annoying to try to get the Almas at the top out of my way. Likewise, I'm trying to get a good time on the next level after where my current Meikyuu no Fukkatsu movie ends, but it's difficult because of the unpredictability of the Leepers. Generally I find it good to start by pushing a block straight up, grabbing the heart on the top of the level, and waiting for a Leeper to follow me over to the right to get the upper-right heart. But when I go to the bottom to try the same thing, the Leeper that comes over wants to turn before it gets in front of the Medusa. The best thing I've found to do is to put a block in front of the Leeper, wait for it to bounce off a nearby Leeper (I have to manipulate it there using position a little bit, I think), and then push the block down, at which point the Leeper will decide to block the Medusa correctly. Then I can go ahead and grab the hearts on the left easily. But does anyone else have a better idea? Some competition might help cut down the time on an hour-plus movie!

Well, I found a way to shorten that level up a little. I push the box down, but stop so it forms a passage that forces the Leeper to go right. Then I can simply trap him with the block, grab the heart framer to knock him out, and finish pushing the block to get the other hearty heart heart. The level ends with me worming my way to the last two hearts and the treasure chest. This still involves quite a bit of excess waiting and running around, though, so I still don't like it very much. I'll probably keep working on it until this weekend, and if anybody finds a way to improve a level I've already done, I'll edit that in and continue with the final run of that Leeper level. I'm pretty sure my next checkpoint (as in putting my movie up for download) will be after I beat the first secret cave.

Okay, I just found a way to improve the seventh level, so I'll work on that first.

Suddenly an update after two years! I continued on with the game since I forgot how I was going to improve that 7th level, but Baxter found a way. I also improved some more levels along the way. Now I have about 30 done, and I've opened 2 big key doors. Do you want to see? http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Eggland_Meikyuu_no_Fukkatsu_J.fcm If you're still sure you wouldn't mind an hour-long Lolo movie, I'll keep going! It'll probably look a little slower in the water levels, but it'll still be awesome.

Some of the runs lately have been boring for their repetitiveness, but the Eggerland games are interesting if only for their puzzle-ness and difficulty. I enjoyed the WIP, and wouldn't mind seeing a full run. One of these days I should get back to my Lolo GB run...

http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Eggland_Meikyuu_no_Fukkatsu_J.fcm All right, I did a few more levels that are unique to this game. The last one was frustrating, though, as I couldn't manage to elude more than 2 Skulls, so I had to be boring and block the other 6. But if somebody can find a way to do better, that would be great! It doesn't matter when you find an improvement, since this game's movies are easily spliced. But it would be nice to feel confident about those last few hard levels before I go back to some easier levels.

Nice wip! This level looks nearly impossible without rerecords :o

Yeah, what you're supposed to do there is trap them in 2-block cages in each of the corners by exploiting their "can't stop rolling" trait.

I just watched the WIP and was surprisingly entertained by the use of creative and unintended solutions to some of the puzzles. In spite of the music.

Well, I just collected the old man from Zelda, so I guess that means I have to get ready for a sea adventure! http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Eggland_Meikyuu_no_Fukkatsu_J.fcm

I updated it again. Now I have the 3rd big key! And what did everyone think of how I handled that "box of chaos" room where I had to line up the Rockies? Do you think there might be a faster way?

So that's how the puzzle with first box below question mark is done.. I've never solved it as it's been utterly hebrew to me until now. Nice job so far in the video!

Just so everyone knows, I went back and fixed a mistake on that water level with all the Skulls to save 30 frames. So you may have to back up a bit to watch to the end. And now I've opened the third big door. The room it's in bothers me, though, but I can't find any way to avoid the waiting times without running out of magic shots. As usual, if you see something I missed, you can tell me, and I'll be sure to credit you! Just as I'll credit Baxter for those two levels!

Okay, 4 additional rooms before the 2nd watery onslaught! http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Eggland_Meikyuu_no_Fukkatsu_J.fcm I hope you are amazed! Oops, I had to go back to that very first water level to save 15 frames because I stepped off an egg too early. Sorry about that.

Hey, I just thought I'd let everyone know that I updated http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Eggland_Meikyuu_no_Fukkatsu_J.fcm a while back. Now it covers all the levels up to releasing the third master. However, Nitrodon and I also went back and found a lot of improvements to earlier levels, so you'll probably have to watch it from the very beginning for it to work now.

I'd love to watch this! I love anything HAL makes. (Pokemon Ranger was the funnest pokemon game ever! good ol HAL) Unfortunately, it seems the place you've linked to has blown up! There's a whole bunch of garglemesh and no file. :P
