I think "Yo Raelcun!" would sound better.

I worked on the DSBot more and successfully got input streaming working! Here was my first test: Then I taught TASBot calculus: And some proof this was actually on a real DS:

Remember Fry's shut up and take my money? I gave it a try to make something similar with ROB and here's the result: Normal: With Money: Note: Forgot to make more space for the text, so only the second part fit well. You may want to center a bit or remove it if wanted...

I love it! I really want to get the text to look something like this, where we add the caret and "donation" after the rest of the text is drawn. I'll try tweaking it to fit the rest of the text when I get a chance if you don't beat me to it. More excellent news on the DSBot: the proposal video syncs on console, and the current WIP mostly syncs! Enjoy: WIP AGDQ proposal I have some ideas about what happened with the failed answers and I'll try to sort them out in my next stream. Here's a few more photos:

I worked on the Raelcun image a bit. Here's what I came up with: Thoughts? I figured this would lead into the next image where we tell him to shut up and take our money.

I think you should refer to recent events.

Draw him like he is now, then draw the text, then draw the hair from the above pic.

Here's my edit of the shut up image: A few people including me think the money looks a little odd. I did a rough edit to see what it would look like if we made it white. Here's the result: Now TASBot's left arm looks a little odd. samurai goroh: maybe you can give it another shot? Here's a link to a static version of the above gif.

I like this idea. samurai goroh: any chance you can edit the current image of him to look like he does now, but in such a way that we can add back in the extra hair?

Trimmed version (Blue should be ignored): I'll give it a shot to fix tasbot Edit: Here's the outcome, tweaked a bit the base to remove it and straighten the tube:

Or draw the version with long hair (and glasses?) first, and then trim the hair and glasses away, and add text "This happened."

There are three ways to do this:
  1. Add the hair after a pause to the same image
  2. Clear the image and redraw with hair
  3. Invert the image to draw with hair then "remove" it
The disadvantage of the first option is it's "out of order", as he went from having hair to not having hair. The disadvantage of the second option is how long it would take as we would have to completely erase and redraw everything, breaking flow. The disadvantage of the third option is it might look odd. I have no opinion here other than to ask what others think, as usual. :) (Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm always such an indecisive leader until I actually make a decision if that makes sense, but Brain Age is micro500's to make the call on and I'll leave the ball in his court).
I was laid off in May 2023 and could use support via Patreon or onetime donations as I work on TASBot Re: and TASBot HD. Option 3 is what I suggested, so naturally that's my recommendation. Having it go from less hair to more hair makes no sense, since he cut his hair and tweeted "This happened" about it.

I have a reason behind my suggestion, other than it being the easiest to draw. If this whole playaround is about being dead serious and perfectly fitting as many boring routines as possible, yeah, out of order and nothing more. But if one has sense of humor, out of order would read as "yeah, this is how he looks right now, but here's Raelcun we all know!" And sneakily drawing hair after text just looks funny in itself, like we're reverting time by doing it.

Here's the most recent WIP, including all answers for x20. Link to video I spent some time working on the delays before and after drawing. I wanted to leave a short pause after each drawing to give the audience some time to look at the picture, but not too long since those delays add up quickly when applied to 120 images. I think I found a sweet spot for the delay length, but let me know what you think. A few answers differ from the norm. There is an extra delay after the integral to make it seem like the game is calculating the answer. There is a long delay after the BSOD and also before the next screen to make it seem like TASBot rebooted. The video also includes the appearance of Raelcun's extra hair. There is a very long delay after the "Shut up and take my money" screen to give Raelcun time to read a donation that we will submit under the nickname of TASBot. Let me know what you think of the pacing and if anything needs changing. I also need some ideas/drawings for the name screen and birthday screens. Those are next and we don't have any suggestions yet.

To continue on the name and birthday screens: these are crucial to continue, because the time it will take to draw these will directly influence the x100 seed (due to it being dependant, again, on the firmware system time) We can't effectively know the seed without these. Here are the specs for these:
Name screen Amount: 1 Pen size: 2x2 Dimensions: 177x60 pixels Birthday screen Amount: 3 Pen size: 2x2 Dimensions: 141x148 pixels
Any drawing will be able to be converted without any limitations to the desired answer. The main advantage here is that the pen used is 2x2 instead of 4x4, giving much more artistic liberty.

What if we put Kappa there? Even more room for details and stuff. And a great way to setup the following crazy part. Hmmm, maybe even in both name and image? If so, it might be some cool dithered 3d-ish name, I might try.

Anyone in favor of putting Mega Man in the name screen? Alternately SMB3's Mario?

Half done.... Need to do: 1) Smaller (match height) 2) Less shittier but that part is already done by removing basically everything. If anyone is curious about the font it's Luna.

Too small to look neat when heavily dithered. New portrait is coming soon.

Project Sinistar. Beware, I live! I hunger! I am Sinistar! I pitch this one to be the first answer of 100 due to being hungry for everything to come, since sinistar. (Alternately someone just one ups me with Kirby) Still working on it, since I gave the status of the colour version. Subject to be modified: Remove black line in mouth. Fix up facial expression.

I assembled the list of ideas into a google doc and passed it to the GDQ staff to review. They accepted some ideas I didn't expect them to, and rejected some I hoped would make it. Take a look at the list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MN3qdKEbC70kMFvELx7zLex6S7u0Q5_eB81fByUpufM/edit?usp=sharing Let me know if I missed anything and we'll get it in for the next time I run the list by them. Accepted/rejected ideas are in separate sheets at the bottom of the page. The staff wanted to see an image for each idea before they would accept it, but they rejected some ideas without an image (some reject reasons are provided). I wasn't fully done editing that doc when I passed it over so a few ideas in this thread weren't in this pass. In the end we have 64 accepted images. We need 100, so I need another ~36 more images finished in the next few weeks. Thanks for all the help so far!
