I dont know if i do a correct step, but i use Windows 7 and try use command on CMD but it not recognize the command "mencoder". I have no problems for VideoDumping but I'm stuck in Pre-Encoding. Please, what missing me?

Hello there, welcome to the forums. I currently don't have the time to help you in detail, but the guide you're following is outdated and probably not useful unless you know what you're doing already to a degree (it also describes the use of mencoder, which is deprecated. You should use ffmpeg or x264 instead). Instead follow Wiki: EncodingGuide/PublicationManual, which uses a premade package that does everything automatically for you with a bit of setup. If you just want to practice you can stop after the "Encode the video" section. If you want you can upload your resulting Youtube encode somewhere (to show your logo and subtitles) and post them here too. BTW: The error you receive comes from the fact, that either mencoder is not installed or the mencoder executable is not in your PATH: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PATH_(variable) (I can't make that clickable or this post breaks)

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Out of curiosity what do you plan on encoding?

Disables Comments and Ratings for the YouTube account. These colours are pretty neato, and also these.

*enkoding Making publication-quality encodes is a tricky business, and we do need more dedicated encoders. Let's hope you aren't destined to fail.

Actually those words are hoping that you don't do what Samlaptop did.

Only if you can answer my question.

I wanted to encode high quality videos as they do here in TASVideos, but I still can't get perfection. So I'm here to learn. I might even say it is to encode videos that aren't necessarily videogames.

What you answered doesn't answer my question and doesn't go along with your previous posts.

I'll rephrase. What type of games are you planning to encode here at TASVideos?

It's generally easier to focus on a certain system at first, because how exactly you encode what might differ between consoles a bit (the largest differences come from the audio/video capture step though) and adds only unnecessary complexity at first. Spikestuff is asking whether you have a certain game or console in mind that you want to start with. Also, if you have trouble following the Publication Manual, post here. It's intended to be understandable for everyone.

If it comes to that, I would just like to start with Sonic 1, 2 or 3. Maybe I could take the submission of Aglar of Sonic 2. To practice. My intention is to learn encoding techniques and if my skill is sufficient, become me to a Encoder.

Just try the steps from there right away, and tell what goes wrong.

I have created a animated logo if I'm not mistaken a senior publisher must look and approve it. I will try now encoding. Question: encode.avs has the syntax for encoding a static logo, but I have one animated logo as avi. (Lagarith codec and 60fps) What should I change to add my logo? Or is there a better method?

You probably have to change the ImageSource/ImageReader call of the image into an AVISynth call; see Avisynth's documentation/website for the syntax.

Yeah! I succeeded. Here can download my encode. There's my logo. Tell me how it is?

The background animates for those at home. Nope. Let's start with the obvious: 1) You gave people seizures doing that. 2) Should be White with Black outline not White and White. 3) Should be Yellow with Black outline not Yellow and Yellow. 4) Remove anything that would give someone an epileptic fit.

5) The image inside the logo shouldn't steal all the attention away from the text, however. (From EncodingGuide/Logo)

Well, I'll use the second logo I had planned. It will be easier because it is not animated. EDIT: And i will re-encoding.

What it looks like: What's with the random colours there? They're not necessary. The Blue one Blue is an eyesore. Why isn't the icon just the moon. Alternately: Why doesn't the screenshot fill up the entire screen? Better yet, why did you still have the referenced colours? Text sizes are varied, link to tasvideos is fine, the normal is incorrect.

I've found sufficient proof that this is another alt account attempting to dodge a ban evasion. As a banned user you are still not welcome here. Be gone. Some things cannot be hidden, no matter how much you try with VPNs and such.
