So I tried asking for help on the Dolphin forums but no one seems interested. I'm trying to get the weapon switching code for Mega Man 9 to work. It used to work back when it was released in 2013, but I can't seem to get it to work anymore. Can someone else get it to work? Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. If it really doesn't work, does anyone know how to make/edit the code so it does work? Here's the code: http://pastebin.com/8q4Ryn13

Which version of Dolphin are you working with?

The thing about Gecko Codes is that Dolphin doesn't seem to fully implement the required stuff for implementing it. Try booting the game from a loader that actually allows you to use gecko codes instead of using Dolphin's built-in Gecko Code handling; it tends to work for me.

Can you explain how to do that? I'm using the latest revision of Dolphin but I've tried older versions as well (such as r7571 which I know it used to work on).

So wait, the Gecko Code works on some revisions? Maybe I'm not fully aware of what's going on. Did a revision break a code?

Basically, the code worked fine when it was introduced back in 2013. I'm not sure what revision I was using, but version 3.5-299 was the newest back when I made this video showcasing the working code: Link to video But now the code doesn't seem to work at all anymore. Not on older revisions nor the newest ones. I'm not sure what has changed since then, and unfortunately I can't seem to get into contact with Delroth or Darkeye. Other gecko codes work fine (moon jump, invinicbility, etc), but nothing happens when I press the A or B buttons on the wiimote. If someone could get the code working I was going to look into finishing the TAS I started with it.

Maybe the code is for Classic Controllers, not Wiimotes?

Wow! Simple fix. Exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks!
