Post subject: What sort of TV programming do you enjoy?

Most of the time when I'm watching TV or Netflix, I'm watching true-crime shows like Forensic Files and The First 48, or I'm watching an on-the-job reality TV show such as Deadliest Catch or Ice Road Truckers. I used to be really big into Japanese anime, but I kinda fell away from it after Monogatari Series Second Season, two years ago.

I stream my series online and I usually watch trickier trivia shows. Otherwise I usually watch movies, which is a whole other topic not suitable in this thread.

There really aren't many shows on now that I care too much about/for. Though I do have a number of mainstay shows that I'll rewatch a million times over. Red Dwarf, Futurama, QI, Monk, Blackadder and A Bit of Fry and Laurie to name a few. Basically a lot of comedy series'. [Edit] I have all of my buddies trying to get me into one of the myriads of super-hero shows, despite my often loud and abundant not caring. I did, however have a passing interest in "Got Ham" before ultimately losing interest for good. If it ends well I might revisit it years from now and end up liking it, who knows? Plus, and not to go on too much of a tangent, why does Penguin look like Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows?

I stopped watching TV when Finnish TV became digital, something like 10 years ago. I just couldn't get bothered to buy a digi-tv receiver (especially since they were so damn expensive for the cable version). A few months ago I got a digibox as part of an internet connection upgrade (it works through the internet). I watched it once. It was boring. Haven't checked it since. (Although I might some day, because it also works as a video rental.)

I am a huge Game Of Thrones fan. I am looking forward to one of, if not the biggest tv-shows comeback in tv-show history, namely Twin Peaks! Huuuuuge David Lynch fan. I have enjoyed shows like Breaking Bad, Narcos, Hannibal, Oz, True Detective season 1 and of course, The Sopranos. My list is too strong!!

These days, as far as television goes, I only watch select amounts of sports/competitions that I'm interested in (including e.g. things like darts), and on other times I generally put on a channel like Cartoon Network or the like and just see whatever is on (if I like it). I don't really follow any series in particular. In general, I don't watch TV all that often, and not with any sort of consistent schedule or frequency.

TV "programming"? I thought this was something like computer programming, except with TVs... :D I don't watch anything at the moment, but here are some that I have enjoyed: - Ducktales (new episodes will apparently come in a couple of years, for this old classic [1]) - Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - Mr. Bean - Mysteriet på greveholm (swedish, made for children, but it's pretty funny) - Twilight Zone (the 80s version, watched a few: it's good) - Kyle XY (the show was cancelled unfortunately, but I still like it of course) - Lost (haven't watched all, but could be interesting to watch some time if I'm bored to death) - The 4400 (the show was cancelled unfortunately, but I still like it of course) - Serial Experiments Lain - Almost human (watched a few episodes, and have been "planning" (for over a year) to watch the rest; but this one was also cancelled, meh... seems pretty good though) Like many others here, I hardly watch any TV. I mostly follow youtube channels, because there are obviously a lot more channels, so you can easily find exactly what interests you. Apparently boct1584 is my mother. I don't watch much TV and have a special disdain for serial drama (exceptions: The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and now Better Call Saul). My girlfriend recently started watching Jessica Jones on Netflix and I got halfway through the first episode before pretty definitively deciding it wasn't for me. It wasn't especially bad as dramas go-- I'd even say it was above average-- but it really felt like it was pulling the viewer along. As I see it, drama is easy, comedy is hard. Introducing convoluted plot twists and cookie-cutter characters we're supposed to care about takes almost no effort. Getting me to laugh at something in a way I never have before is more impressive to me. So for comedies, I've stuck to The Simpsons my entire life. I'm also currently enjoying Gravity Falls and have watched a little Rick and Morty. I just don't watch much TV these days, though. The vast majority of it is really insipid.

I don't ever turn on the television. The only show that I watch is The Walking Dead, but through torrent :\ Previously watched series include: Breaking Bad, Dexter, Supernatural, 2 1/2 Men, The Big Bang Theory... I don't need to say that some of those went downfall and ended up in shame (I'm specially speaking to you 2 1/2 men). The press in my country is quite harmful, pretty much always over repeating dramatic tragedies and a bunch of them compromised with the government (to receive advertising budget from the state). Therefore, I don't watch them either.
