So I'm looking into dumping video from DeSmuME; I've followed the directions on the articles page regarding it and am in a comfortable place where I could probably start doing wip encodes now. My question is this: is it possible to dump just the top or bottom screen? There are a lot of games where one screen is largely static and therefore produces a lot of null frames, and for my purposes being able to encode the screens separately would save time in editing (even if it does mean dumping a recording twice) as I wouldn't have to dissemble the video, saving me time and effort for what I have in mind.
