Joe & Mac is a heavily downgraded version of the arcade game of the same name. This run improves the published movie by 607 frames from some lag reduction and better boss fights. There isn't a whole lot going on in this game, you mostly just walk to the right and fight a boss. I haven't submitted anything in a while so I figured why not and took a break from my current projects to crank this out. Thanks to georgiek for his previous run of this game!

Summary

  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.2.2
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Manipulates a tiny bit of luck
  • Genre: Platformer

Samsara: I feel obligated to take this for personal reasons.
Samsara: Accepting as an improvement to the published run.
feos: ya.

10 second improvement nice work again RobynS. Having looked over the original I wouldn't have thought such a big improvement was possible.

A sympathetic although not supremely entertaining game choice. But it helps the TAS is only 6,5 minutes long. In the end I was left with a neutral 'meh' vote.

Nice improvement, but my feeling on the run is about the same as AKheon. This game would certainly be more interesting if it used more than one music theme, or if it at least changed the music during boss fights. (However, I'm not sure any other port of this game would be particularly more interesting.) Out of curiosity, how do you decide on your choices of weapons?
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.
