Obsoleted movies can be ignored, but for 21 Currently Published Movies it is worth to do.

Youtube encodes are done differently than the downloadable ones. Downloadables aren’t in 4K so they wouldn’t be in HD quality if uploaded (and wouldn’t be in 60 fps either, and youtube only allows it when the video is 720p or above). They would have to be specifically made for youtube to be in 4K or higher.

Now in what way are backlogs considered as "errors"?
You know, for example.
Earlier this week where videos uploaded on a certain day would be stuck on 360p for a couple amount of days before becoming whatever desired resolution you wanted it to begin with.
Partially thanks to YouTube being down for 2 hours as Google was removing Google+ and the site wasn't fully functional for that day on the upload end.

Let me create another example of an error on YouTube's behalf.
A good chunk of encodes created by feos on feos' YouTube account (one of the three) has artifacting errors due to YouTube being garbage... that's what's classified as a report.
To make that more useful a list would be beneficial. The course of action redoing all of feos' encodes the effected encodes.
An encode error by something that's not trivial should be brought on the page the movie belongs to.

I’d like to quickly point out that most of those broken encodes feos linked work just fine on mobile for some reason. But being played on a computer will definitely mess it up

Melting encodes look like they're in a specific timeframe.
Late 2010 - Early 2011.
So it's safe to assume within here that the encodes have been screwed with by YouTube.

do you know why they occur when watching on desktop as opposed to mobile? that's one thing I don't understand.

That's yt giving you different streams entirely. They keep at least 2 versions for each resolution. IIRC, it's mostly AVC in MP4 and VP9 in MKV.

One of these issues seems to be partially resolved and the other one only affects me (unless someone does the same thing I do).
Any video that was uploaded and publicized between 12pm-UTC to about 2am-UTC will only appear on the subscription feed and not the user's Uploaded Section.
To clarify, it would appear for a brief moment within the upload section for a few hours before somehow disappearing.
The recent publication of Violent Storm was fortunate to dodge this bullet being published before this error occoured.
This might not classify as an "error report" but I do want to remind people of the great "fun" back here where videos were up and deleted on YouTube's end and there is a possibility it can come back around to that.
To give some context if you want to see an example later down the line if it gets completely fixed.
YouTube channel DigitalFoundry uploaded a video showcasing performance of Resident Evil 2 (2019) on all platforms.
They're planning 3 videos for the game's release and currently 2 parts are out. However, only one can be selectable if you're not subscribed to them and using the uploads tab.

And for the one that only affects me (unless someone does the same thing I do):
1/2 weeks ago, 4k videos had a brief moment where it wouldn't process out correctly until YouTube fixed that issue on their end.
Unfortunately in the same period where 4k broke, 8k has been broken and is still currently broken and videos will not process past this point (I've had this "joy" since the 17th).
Edit: Turns out if you're above 4k it's just going to fail. So anything above 4k will just fail.

...Uh-oh. So from what feos has told me and from what I can see here, I take it that means my recently uploaded 8K Twilight Princess encode is going to stay broken? Is there any current benefit to re-uploading it or is it just going to break no matter what?

Reuploading won't help until they fix 8K, which is easier to test on simpler footage. Maybe they are generous enough to launch reencoding for existing 8K uploads. But no one knows when either of these happens.

Edit: Both issues have apparently been resolved now, though a test will need to be to see if they have really been resolved. Spikestuff is all over this already.

I did a few tests on my personal Youtube account and although they all briefly stopped at 360p and said they were done, a refresh some time later revealed that they all successfully processed to 8K.
It looks like this may have finally been resolved.

Meanwhile I checked the old 8K uploads that failed, and they weren't reencoded by YT.

I tried uploading to TVC and it got stuck on the 360p & Invalid 720p streams again, despite my success on my personal channel.
I'm currently not sure if the "broken" step is now a normal milestone in processing (and perhaps it will still succeed in a few days time), or if it's broken again, channel specific, or just fickle like before.

Latest glitch of glitches is that there are videos where the first frame of the video will randomly be placed again somewhere else throughout the video.
Give a round for YouTube.

This doesn't appear to be definitive yet. I tried the upload once more and the video is outright unavailable. The same goes for the one I previously uploaded, which had processed to 360p. It could be that this is the processing screen for them finally handling the 8K uploads properly but I'm not holding my breath.

So I've known this since February and thought "ah nah, YouTube will fix this." well boy am I wrong.
YouTube has another delicious bug where the first frame to a video will show up within an entire video every few seconds to select videos recently uploaded.
The only way for someone to fix it is to go to "Enhancements Tab" of the video and then just hit "Save" it'll reprocess the video.
(Straight downloading the video from YouTube won't solve the issue. The frame stays even when downloaded.)
Unfortunately for us if it ever happens to us our methods is:
Upload, upload again, upload a third time, consult a manual, cry, blame YouTube for everything and upload a forth time.
(And if that all fails consult the backend)
