Link to video RTA with vid. Also some dude called ComJay Made a testrun of the game. Seems like the game runs at 30FPS, very bizarre for a 2D Sonic game. I'm currently researching some stuff, since the Libretro core on BizHawk it's still experimental (tho it's technically TASable), so I'm laying this off for a while.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/33195794673429003 Did the first level, syncs just fine. Already about a second ahead from ComJay's WIP. Did this just to test the core. Encode: Link to video

So I've taken on TASing this myself and have beaten both the human ILs and the TAS for the first level by quite a large margin. 636 on the memory address for Ingame time, equivalent to a 21"18 in time trial mode: Link to video
[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

Looks pretty good! I hope you're able to finish this since TASing a Sonic game can be pretty difficult. I wish you good luck on the project.

I improved my previous WIP by another 5 increments of the IGT (5 frames at 30FPS, 10 emulator frames) by doing two jumps to skip the loop like you did instead of doing a spindash. So close to sub 21 now.
