When I played Kirby's Dreamland 3, the game kept automatically resizing the window at certain points (ie. upon pausing or entering/exiting certain rooms). The weird thing is that it wasn't changing the actual setting, just the window size. I should also note that I was trying to run Kirby Super Star in another instance of the emulator at the same time. Why is Dreamland 3 doing that?
I quit TASing.

Probably because some screens use a high-res graphics mode (512 pixels per line instead of 256).

The SNES has a pseudo hi-res mode, where the screen is doubled in resolution and the screen output is dithered in order to simulate transparency. KDL3 uses this in some rooms for some transparent foreground effects. The bsnes core emulates this by doubling the emulator window resolution, so that there is no loss of pixel information. If you don't want the window to change, enable SNES -> Always Double-Size Framebuffer. The screen will always be at double size if this is selected.

This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. This is, as Mothrayas says, the emulator going into Hi-res mode. Quite a few games on PC Engine, Genesis, SNES, and even Saturn and Playstation change resolution modes quite frequently (in the games that use alternate resolution modes).
