Main Comments

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a follow-up sequel and bonus game to Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee released in 1998. In this game, the player controls a Mudokon called Abe who attempts to shut down several coporations. First, he attempts to leave Necrum in order to visit the places that need to be shut down in order to end the game. But before he gets to Feeco Depot, Abe must leave the Mudomo and Mundachee Vaults: facing Paramites and Scrabs.
In the second part of the game, Abe arrives at Feeco Depot where there are several companies to shut down. First there is Bonewerkz who is managed by Director Phleg. After Bonewerkz, there is the Slig Barracks who is managed by Vice President Aslik and then there is the Feeco Exceutive Office which is managed by General Dripik. After going through all those places, Abe finally reaches the Soulstorm Brewery who is managed by the Brew Master. Abe must leave the Soulstorm Brewery Main Boiler and resuce 150 Mudokons (at least) in order to shut down the company. However, in this run and as the headline suggets, Abe goes through the game killing every Mudokon which there are 300 in total and kills all 276 killable Mudokons in many different ways.
Most of the Mudokons die in this game is by emotions. If you slap a Mudokon, they'll become angry and they'll slap you back if you slap them again. If there is a Mudokon close by and that Mudokon dies, then the other Mudokons will become depressed. If Abe slaps a depressed Mudokon, then they say "No!" and slap themselves so hard that you'll hear a Mudokon groan getting higher and on the last slap, they'll die and Abe says "Oops!". Some of the Mudokons had to be rescued in order to move on. Others can't be reached to be killed. Dooty did a Maximum Casualties run of Abe's Oddysee and since he didn't do one for Abe's Exoddus, I decided to make one myself. Lostraniero91 did a guide on how to Kill All Mudokons for this game and he was the guy that I got much help from him on completing Oddworld games and he also inspired me to make Oddworld plathroughs and speedruns on my own channel.
This TAS is slower to the Abe's Oddysee Maximum Casualties TAS simply becasue most of the Mudokons get killed themselves by depression and there is one secret area that involves waiting for the falling rocks to kill Abe. I believe this run should be published to the Vault for record keeping purposes as Avbe's Oddysee has a Maximum Casualties addition. Exdodus won't be complete without this.
Sometimees in this run, Abe will trigger some music glitches. It happens a small ammount in the 100% run but theeese glitches are only temporary and they are quite rare to pull off!
If you like this TAS, be sure to check out all the other Oddworld TASes on this site: and at speedrun.com! We got plently of Oddworld speedrunners and fans too!

Samsara: TODO - Replace submission file with this one once sync is verified.
Samtasic: Cancelling due to the gameplay being quite suboptimal and can save time more without the use of memory cards and using a single gamepad.

Odd, I thought it was 300 Mudokons not a measly 276. I mean, I'm checking sources and materials, and I'm coming up with 300.

I'm talking about the killable Mudokons. There are 300 but just like Oddysee some of them can't be reached to be killed.

Anyways. Actual Criticism. Having both Memory Cards still inserted, and both controllers on DualShock and not just a single gamepad. Why's this important? This game has a great thing where it will check on what is inserted and will read through it before loading anything up, forcing you to lose time at the start.(And this does go for quite a few PS1 games) I would provide a massive fix, but due to how you do your input. It's literally impossible to fix, as I run into desync thanks to how you have your input done holing. Man oh man that ending input and those never ending frames, you never change. Spiked Input Soon™ (not the Light Spike Kind). Another issue, which I encountered whlist I was writing all this is that I hit a nice, fat desync at the end of Disk 1, it won't switch to Disk 2, so I'm done with all this, I'm not going to hold your hand and fix your mistakes again, this is something you should be doing, as you actually are a higher enough user who actually knows how to do this. The TAS itself varies from actually looking like a decent enough TAS to hitting rock bottom. Your input feels like it was done on PCSX-rr where it's just load and save, which is terrible with that low rerecord count for a long movie that's meant to be technical. Anyways it's done, and it's up. I'm going to vote No, as it wasn't entertaining for the first Disk that I watched in comparison to the other TAS from the prequel.

That's odd. My movie works fine entering disc 2. I have a save state here which works for me: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ys63jryaf54lwv/End%20of%20Disc%201.State?dl=0

I have fixed the empty frames. Please can someone replace my movie with this that doesn't have the empty frames at the end. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ig7r5u03lxbif9/Oddworld%20-%20Abe%27s%20Exoddus%20%28USA%29%20Maximum%20Casualties%20by%20Samtastic%20-%20fixed.zip?dl=0

You have 45 frames of holding triangle at the end. All you did was a light fix. More can be taken off, and corrected. And thanks for not reading into what I wrote and only replying to the desync & the blank input.

Yeah. I'm done here. Since you won't respond to what I wrote for you and all you did was focus on fixing your ending input (which is still not correct, and is actually worse now.) I decided to check the first little section and see myself. Now for those wondering at home going what's with the Ram Watch. That's the ingame timer that I found. The time will pause when a load screen emblem shows up or an FMV is up, here they're both a bit into the load. User movie #33515463275635410

Good idea. So I know now how to remove the memory cards and only use the gamepad. The next movie file will be Dooty quality. Update: Since Spikefuff has sown me what to do I will be cancelling this run and will be submitting a better and improved movie in the future.

Ha. No. Since you primarily cared about the game itself rather than your setup. The correct thing to write is that you were quite suboptimal through your gameplay even for a small section. And how you have written the second part, it sounds like memory cards were a requirement.

How do I change the reactions between characters? sometimes I want the characters to do something else like e,g: In the ending level of Exoddus, i wanted the Mudokon to do what he did in the 100% but in my run he i couldn't get that Mudokon to do what i wanted him to. He would always fall into a meat grinder every time I would load the state and re-doing input again.

Well, this could be caused by N factors, maybe RNG. A basic set of RAM search, tests and scripting is needed to make a good run. Since the game is 2D, it's not that hard to figure out a bunch of things.
