Given what we've seen from the ISS Deluxe TAS made a few years back, it's surprising there hasn't been a TAS of a newer-gen football game. I don't plan on TASing this game myself anytime soon, as I need to work hard to get into University ;). However, I do think that there is quite a bit of fun to be had with the skill system in particular. Anyway, I'll just be leaving this thread here in case anyone does want to give this game a shot (no pun intended.)

Here's a TAS of a "newer-gen" football game. (playaround) Another One

A couple of test TASes: Link to video Link to video Basic stuff. No use of the trick stick or any real showing off, but that'd be different in a finalized TAS, obviously.

Just as a let you know. Shooting for a goal from half way, from the center, is the easiest thing you can ever do in FIFA07.

I could probably put a bit of a twist on it. I could open up the first half with an attempt on goal from kick-off, but hit the crossbar, and then have a mad brawl for the ball in the opponent's box or something like that :P

I think it will be quite a challenge to make an interesting TAS of a modern football game, especially if you don't have a variety of crazy glitches to show off. I looked at the examples that were linked here, they just didn't do it for me. The gameplay didn't come off as "superhuman", something that is crucial for a TAS like this. Some ideas: - Use the worst team available and pit it against the best one, on the highest difficulty of course. - Play in the most weird formation available, so you will see some unusual strategies - Only use your worst players to make it even harder, you could even move them around to different positions (like, all the strikers in the defense and vice versa) - Deliberately play weird football and still dominate: Terrible passes that still somehow find their goal, attacks that no sane player would attempt but still score goals. - Abuse the rules as much as possible: What's the nastiest foul you can commit without getting a card? What's the most obvious offside that still counts? - Show spectacular goals: Impossible free kicks, hilarious own goals, goal keeper goals, whatever is possible. - And obviously: If there are glitches, show them off!
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.
