I am having problems loading the Japanese version of ridge racer on bizhawk 1.11.9.1 when I try to load it it says, A core accepted the rom but threw an exception while loading it: if anyone could help that would be great :)

What's the name of the file you're trying to load?

Make sure you are loading the .cue file (not the .bin) and that you using the japanese BIOS to load it (scph5500.bin)
