This game, also known as Rockman World (ロックマンワールド), is the first of a GB series of Mega Man games.
The Game Boy series is a little different from the NES series in that there are only four Robot Masters to fight at the start.
Those four are borrowed from the NES game of the same number, while four more Robot Masters from the next NES game guard Dr. Wily’s fortress.
Game Boy Wily also likes to have a backup fortress in space after his first one is beaten. Another recurring concept in the Game Boy games is a ninth robot boss unique to the game who gives you a new weapon that is usually the only weapon effective against the final boss.
Game objectives
Everything in the first four stages is identical to the published run by Noxxa.
This version has an updated mole section in Wily Castle which is roughly 38 frames faster.
Tremane tried to resync the Mega Man 2 boss rush in Wily Castle, which didn't work because of random lag frames here and there, so it was redone with some frame losses due to random lag. The Wily Space Station afterwards was resynced perfectly from Noxxa's run.
The total gain therefore is 28 frames.
Thanks to Bag of Magic Food for being a crazy Mega Man GB TASer!
As screenshot we suggest: frame 38630

Noxxa: Replaced movie file with a lsnes conversion (thanks
Ilari), in order to be directly comparable to the
published run. Still 28 frames faster compared to said run.
Fog: Good job on the improvement!
Accepting as an improvement to the previous publication.
