Would it be sensible to publish an update the same published run with an updated run on an accurate emulator? I can do the exact same movements for the current Abe's Oddysee any% in 12.06.13 and update it with one that has the best accurate loading times and better audio quality? Maybe once I done the movie file I could send it to one the publisheers and have them repalcing it with a Bizhawk movie. Then I can do the same for the Exoddus 100% etc. Just thinking now that PCSX-RR is a terrible emulator and crashes frequently.

What exactly makes it inaccurate? If the end result will end up being exactly the same, how is it inaccurate? (Ostensibly inaccuracies would cause the correct version to be shorter or longer... or at least different in some manner.)

The loading times comparing against the 2 emus are different. Bizhawk diplays a yellow Mudokon loading symbol on some screens where PCSX dodsn’t.

How accurate is the mednafen core BizHawk used first? I'm not exactly familiar with emulation of PSX, but I recall it's not exactly at a state where any emulator is far more accurate than the others. Think it might be worth waiting longer (eventually).

jlun you're an idiot. mednafen is one of the most accurate cores between it, Xebra and ePSXe. And as a fact. ePSXe has falsified their test by showing that they "passed" certain stuff which in reality they actually failed in the game that requires said thing. Now for you Samtastic I'm pretty sure we already provided you the IGT watch value for Oddysee. And considering that it was a poorly done pcsx-rr run, I reckon that if you actually bothered you'll be able to improve it by a bit.

Yeah I'm trying to improve that transition at Stockyards Return. I can get Abe to jump over the screen transition and get blown up by a mine. Somehow I managed to get a 12:05 on PCSX-RR one time doing this. I need to get going on this any% update!
