I finished a jaws time attack. I fist played this game for a few minutes then in about 30 more i had the time attack finished. The game is very simple to beat and since most of the levels have set amounts of time i doubt this time can be improved very much. I did make a few mistakes in this video which i tried to correct about 100 times but no matter what i do the recording breaks in the first water scene. I lost the .vmv file for this game so you'll ahve to DL the .avi i made which i will post the link to very soon. Evilheart

Alright, since there's a record coming that apparently beats ZipLock's time of 4:19, and on a console no less, it's got me thinking. Now, I would not be at liberty to divulge any of the tactics in the video without the gamers permission, and apparently I may not have to if he submits it to SDA as he commented... But thoughts come to my mind... Now, the game gets considerably easier the 2nd time around.. ie. Beat the game once and you can start over again on a 2nd loop and apparently you don't get attacked as often and other things.. What gets me curious is... is there a way that this kind of lax condition can be achieved from a soft reset or do you HAVE to beat the game for it to go softer on you. [I'm curious for other reasons as well... but I mean the idea kinda works with Friday the 13th in regards to being able to soft reset till you get a proper setup.. but then you can get it via Power-On as well, due to it being entirely random] Does anyone have an idea of how many shots can be fired at Jaws as he makes a sweep...? And a rough idea of how many hits are required to tank the bastard per Power Level? Perhaps he gets easier depending on the Power Level? I dunno.. just some random thoughts on how it may be possible to get a TAS for this lower then 4:19. That and... well, my hex editing skills suck, and doubly so for what I'd be looking for, so I figured someone may get interested and find out. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

For the first you'd have to make a movie to test it, and even then you couldn't be sure there wasn't a method to get more hits. So your "roughly" should be in the other sentence. ;) Probably someone can help you with both of those if they feel like it.
