Comments

This is a new TAS of this weird bootleg. This is an improvement of 567 frames, or roughly 9.29 seconds faster than the currently published run back in 2014. This improves every single level with some route changes, more use of tricks and overall better optimization throughout. Because of much more accurate emulation, lag and longer load times are obviously present here.

Stage by stage comments

Stage 1

Thanks to the better use of a trick that lets you stop sliding after a run jump by pressing B, I'm able to go to the first platform and jump much faster. I also avoid taking a hit and do an extra slide jump. Also the end is slightly faster too thanks to cancelling my attack animation earlier. Saved about a full second.

Stage 2

Since running doesn't work on this level for some reason, this one has the least amount of frames saved, about 21 frames saved or something. This was done by climbing the ladder earlier so I could warp to the top faster. Then I make an extra jump and shoot the Crobat in order so I can fall through the floor a little earlier. I aslo take an intentional hit on a Hitmonchan at the end which a couple of frames faster.

Stage 3

A saved a lot of time here by changing the route by going above the platforms and do a lot of fast jumps.

Stage 4

Here I avoid some enemies and I'm able to make extra jumps in the process. I'm also able to clip through the wall much earlier.

Stage 5

Here I use the upper routes and do a lot more jumps. To compensate for using it, I do 3 clips through walls, the last one being from a very small wall and near frame perfect.

Electabuzz

I run straight into him and do my first shot earlier. Also I got much closer to him so I could hit him earlier every shot.

Other comments

Ever since I first made the old TAS, I have improved as a TASer and even as a person. I'm pretty different now in 2018 compared to 2013-2015 me. This is a nice way of viewing how much I have improved and stuff. Now as for what I'll do next, well... Club Penguin improvement, for one, but maybe something else before I tackle that since that one is a big project. I'm not sure.
But this was fun. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!

Noxxa: Solid improvement, accepting as an improvement to the published movie.

Psyduck is more or less my reaction to this game and TAS. Yes vote.
[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

He's obsessed with TASing bootleg games, this along with the soundtrack stolen from Vs. Lemmings.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this request, but would it be possible to publish this game under the original title "Kou Dai Yao Guai: Bai Jin Ban", or as something like "Pokemon: Platinum Edition (Bootleg)"? Just saying because it's frustrating to do a search for "Pokemon" looking for main series games, only to encounter bootlegs in the search results whose name is nearly identical to an actual main series game.
