hello, is it possible to deactivate the message that's popping up when you load or save a savestate? I mean this blue textbox in the lower left corner that says "State loaded/saved". Is it somehow possible in the settings or config files of the emulator?

Probably no. If it covers a piece of screen, just extend the FCEUX window.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

not working, this text messages will always stay in this corner of the ingame window. I need to hide it for capturing some good no damage gameplay and edit it.

If you just want to capture game footage then use the emulator AVI capture feature: File -> AVI/Wav -> Record AVI...
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

So, you have to go to: File -> AVI/Wav and check Disable messages recording option After that, record your gameplay. There will be no messages.

thanks, that's a good suggestion. But i think this video quality is just not good enough :/ In case of the Snes9x Emulator i was able to change the value of the MessageDisplayTime from "120" to "0" in the config files to fix my problem there. I wonder if it's in FCEUX possible, too.

You can use Bizhawk, hide messages if you would (they dont appear on avi dump anyway, if you haven't tick "capture osd"), and increase the resolution when you dump an avi file so the quality can be better than the internal resolution by default. (file>avi/wav>config and record avi/wav, and tick "resize video" in the right and then enter the resolution you want) I personally think it's the best solution:) Plus the Neshawk core is really excellent! Or maybe you can try Mesen :)

Yes, Mesen is a great alternative, and it is very accurate! :) There's a topic for mesen here on tasvideo, if you search, by the way, if you want. And Sour, seems to be very open for any suggestion.

But it's still beta. Or Mesen's movie files are accepted for submissioning?

I don't know at all, sorry. And Rado didn't mention an official TAS submission, did he? It also seems to me that it is possible to convert a movie file from Mesen to BizHawk, I have read something like that in the dedicated topic...

my gameplay is not TAS related. My only concern was to make the textbox disappear and capture my gameplay with OBS. For that purpose i'll stay with Mesen.
