Post subject: Random stuttering every 10 seconds

I have no idea why, but the emulator always stutters for about a quarter of a second every 10 seconds. I've tried changing the rewind/state settings, and even reinstalled it with a blank config. It happens on every system, so it's not just core-specific. Thanks!

Try setting your power plan to "high performance" if you're on Windows. (If this doesn't work don't forget to set it back.)

I only face this when I have rewind enabled, otherwise it doesn't happen. Btw which version are you using?
Games are basically math with a visual representation of this math, that's why I make the scripts, to re-see games as math. My things: YouTube, GitHub, Pastebin, Twitter

Disabling rewinding didn't fix the issue, unfortunately. I'm using 2.3.0.

Under Config->Speed/Skip, which throttle method are you using? Have you tried audio throttle instead? There are reasons this could be a bad suggestion, but maybe there's a sync issue such as your monitor's refresh rate differing from the console being emulated?

I tried screwing around with the different throttle and skip options, nothing helped. Still the same random stuttering.

This would be my first thought too (after seeing your PC specs). Try going into Task Manager > Details and find Bizhawk on the list. Right click it, Set priority > High. If that improves the situation, then the issue is likely the result of another active program using your processor.

According to your answers to the questions, I guess: - it's might be a virus/malware/rootkit/youarepartofanewzombienet - it's might be a specific DLL/driver conflicting with one of BizHawk's DLL (for example Razer drivers side effect that some PC games don't even launch) If none of the above, please try and compare with an older version. If that's also didn't worked, we need more detailed informations (things I have in my head: perfmon session of 11 seconds span, tasklist and whatever services)
