So I’m not sure if this is fixable but when I attempt to import a movie from PSXjin into bizhawk, the input file ends up like this: Why does this happen and is there a way around it? Edit: as a side note, if you try to import a PCSX movie it will work, except the inputs dont press the correct buttons.

It was suggested that I try to do this on the very early releases of bizhawk when PSX was added, I recieved the same exact results as last time.

Well, it seems that in your settings there arent controllers connected (or thats what I think). But aside of this, BizHawk has some problems with binary/hex files, for example, to import FCEU files, you must import it to FCEUX and then import the fm2 in BizHawk. Also the PJM specifications page seems to be bad, seems to be like a hex and text file at the same time, the header is hex and the input is text, which as in the specifications page, it must be 2 bytes per controller and frame, and not a text line. So the problem is the input file and/or importing system in BizHawk :/
