Getting the green key early is no good as you still need to reach the chest, which requires a certain treasure which makes the leaves fall in the chest room.

Quite good. I'm taking it one step at a time. Very slowly, i'm optimizing the jumping. If you press the "B" 2 frames before and the "A" 1 frame before, you jump immediately upon landing. No need to use the "left-right" trick.

Is it faster? EDIT : Actually, it's not. If I recall correctly, you have to conserve the max speed you gain during the 15 frames acceleration (or a slow chargejump), if you try something right after landing w/o doing the left-right trick you'll lose that speed, and it will slow Wario down, whatever the move he may use. In that case, your second chargejump will be "slow", meaning that it won't take you as far as the fastest chargejump. Hope you got it.

You are on the ground for all of 2 frames with careful planning. heres a VBM of the glitch http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/4940/climb%20off%20nothingness.vbm

Try with a savestate and frame counter if your strategy of moving is faster than mine. And about the glitch : What's in that green treasure? Is it really worth it? If you are supposed in the game to get it after the high jump, then it might be a sequence break, but for now you can't get to the treasure. We'll see about it. But try it on every other "fire" in the game =)

In the peaceful village, there is a fire bot, when you get the first glove, you throw the firbot up onto the platofrm bside the 3 block high box then ou do the glitch off the firebots fire to skip using the snake. You could get the red and green treasures without getting the snake treasure. It may be faster then using the snake to get up there. you could still get the snake treasure for other levels, in that level you wouldn't need to use it. i'm checking if you can jump off any enemies such as bosses to skip them. The game may use reject pathing so possibly, zipping!

Well, considering how you're going fast, we will figure that out soon.

I've done a little experimenting, looking for glitches such as zipping. Nothing yet. It doesn't work to walk into a wall and turn around (dang!). Dashing into a wall won't work. I'm not sure about what happens with enemies. With those spear guys, I know they can't drive you into a wall from a distance but if you're right next to the wall maybe they can.

Have you tried something about the game recently? First of all, try releasing a vbm of the first level grey treasure done fast, so I could see your strategy and say if there's something wrong.

I am trying to see if can glitch the final treasure needed to beat the game. The animation at the end is caused by getting the N1 Blue treasure, if I can glitch the treasure, I will beat joshes run by about 1:12:21.

Rridgway wants to see it. He's not exactly the TASing type, so he has made little progress.

Ok, folks, here is what I've been doing recently. You think you're going to see two stages completed but no, you'll have to wait until next time, sorry 'bout that. People that got bored of the beggining might want to turn input display on. Do you like Rapidshare? REPOST EDIT : Here are the two next treasures done. Since I got 3 treasures so far I called this file YoungWario03.vbm , so I hope no one would get confused. The Vast Plain was a plain in the *ss, so there are some strategies I didn't try 'cuz they would have cost days to try, not to mention that I already spent several days to complete it. Actually that was helpful, since now I think I made some mistakes in the beggining. No big deal, I just may start another TAS of the game after I finish that one, with everything I have written it'll be quick to make. In the peaceful village, one thing I didn't try : make some burner robot fall from the roof so he could hit Wario, but it's too hard to see if it moves when I don't see it. Besides, I need to check if I should let it walk for a little before jumping, and I don't think it's faster than what I made, but I may check in the future. Enjoy! EDIT : Hey I didn't know josh l. published a run of WL3! Gotta see this now.
