In this game, I'm achieves a possible high score in each events.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: BizHawk 2.8
  • Aims for the high scores in each events
  • Qualified in national championship and enter the world championship to beat this game.

Selected country

  • I'm chose Czech Republic because there are 2 strong CPU's while the other countries, the CPU's are like in normal level and not very competitive.

Events

  • 100 meters - 8.91 is the maximum score for this event.
  • Long jump - this event only take best score from the best attempts, so I just perform 1st attempts.
  • Shot put - same as long jump, but I perform 3 attempts to get possible score.
  • High jump - I skip the lower height. 250 is maximum scores. Also they didn't expect you to be running this fast, as the speed meter is confusing. In the result I only get 238 meters but I'm performing 229 – 250, maybe because the game got confused.
  • 400 meters - 41.25 is the maximum score for this event.
  • 110 hurdles - 11.36 is the maximum for this event.
  • Discus throw - Got 110.72m in this event, but the announcer voice got cut and only said the last number.
  • Pole Vault - 530 is the best I can get, because the run meter can't reach the highest weight.
  • Javelin throw - this event only take best score from the best attempts, so I just perform 1st attempts.
  • 1500m - Another button mashing event that can hurt your finger in a minutes. 3:29.50 is the maximum score.

Possible improvements

  • Maybe there's something I overlooked and CPU made a mistake (false start) one the decathlon events and maybe that's make my TAS a bit late.

Hello SalamenceShiro and welcome to TASVideos. There exists a TAS created by Meerkov that I'll be using as a comparison to your TAS. The difference is they completed their TAS before World Championship, as it would just be the same copy pasting the same results. Marked in bold is the better result in the comparison.

Javelin Throw88.69 meters82.86 meters

But, as you did World Championship as well, that gets compared to your previously compared input, as it would've have been as simple as copy pasting, in theory, in practice with your results compared:

* Extended is continued after the best height cleared, it allows for more points. ^ A false start is called at the World Championship which makes me wonder if it's possible to manipulate and avoid that situation, as that would not cost time. I also have to ask, what about using wind? Wind does have a significant advantage if it was used, I was actually able (shockingly) to unearth this old input and can provide it for you to look over and compare, it uses BizHawk 2.6. The table provided here, is showcasing what's used with wind in comparison to your best results without wind.

Long Jump9.33 meters9.29 meters

And showcasing my input, I reminded myself about something in Shot Put. Don't throw far after setting your best attempt. You want to immediately throw the ball as soon as possible to get by the event quicker instead of throwing far or throwing far and fowling. This is nice work overall, but there are little errors that can be spotted by comparing to the other existing run, and I'm interested on your further development on this game, as well as some optimization cleanup that could be made such as what I wrote about Shot Put and within Long Jump where you prepare your run at frame 2895 but you can start as soon as 2891. What I wrote could be within error after all, when you compare my shot puts for instance where an exact same throw results in a difference of 5cm. A Light Spike of 6351 frames to fix the overextended input.

Disables Comments and Ratings for the YouTube account. These colours are pretty neato, and also these.
