VA-11 Hall-A is a Visual Novel style game with very strong themes presented in its narrative, this is a story that should be consumed over time.
If you have never played this game before, I strongly suggest you to play the story instead of watching this TAS, even with the text whizzing by in a blink of an eye there's still story elements that will unfold before you.
If you want to get through the story relatively quickly on your own time, there are guides that tell you what drinks to make so you don't have to fret on that half.
This TAS was made with the Steam Release version meaning you'll need to launch libTAS via terminal with ~/.steam/bin/steam-runtime/run.sh libTAS.
There's also an itch.io release but I don't know if they would cross sync with each other.
"Perfect Service" is the ending which results in completing without making a single drink mistake.
You are allowed to give incorrect drinks (see basically every drink I gave to Ingram), but doing this to the incorrect character will result in a Game Over.
There isn't really much to explain what goes on within this TAS, as it's predominately an "autoscroller" with bar-tending action sprinkled without.
So I'll explain out the bar-tending.
Each key is assigned to a command, both to a drink, and mixing.
When dealing with 2 slot drinks, you cannot mix and then immediately go to the next drink, on the next frame otherwise GameMaker will throw up an error.
In saying that, the only time where this isn't applicable is when you're doing an actual mixer, after waiting those 5 seconds you can immediately start the next one without waiting a frame.
With dialogue after mixing, the dialogue box is intractable a frame later, but in the input I've mostly had it directly after completion.
I'm mainly pointing this out as there are mixers that end with an extra input than it needs to, but this wastes no time in advancing the story along.
Screenshot suggestion is at 6256 (probably 6255 in the dump).
And a heavy request to whoever Encodes this out to make sure that the Intermission screen is used as the Video Thumbnail.
The other encode note is since this is a native 720p game, go right to 5K on the encode for perfect pixels. YouTube fixed their 5K bullshit error that was happening at one point.

Info Teddy: After consulting with judges, this movie is decidedly not trivial under current rules. Accepting to Standard.

If only it wasn't 61% of text skimming by, with the 33% of null input and 6% of bar-tending action.

Ugh, pure text! That's even worse! Wish Spikestuff would do some fighting game playarounds...

And I wish all games, genres, and TASes would be encouraged similarly and equally.

I was expecting a response, like "Hmm... I changed my mind. Now it's Yes vote."
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

If you have issues getting the Steam version of the game to run in libTAS, even with ~/.steam/bin/steam-runtime/run.sh libTAS, simply put a file called steam_appid.txt with "447530" (without quotes) as contents in the directory the game is installed (where the runner executable is located), and disable the virtual Steam client.
Steam Community page - Bluesky profile Oh, I'm just a concerned observer.
