Hello, I'm new to Bizhawk and emulation in general. I made an account to post my question here because I couldn't find an answer to this question anywhere else googling. I recently downloaded project64 to play Paper Mario: Master Quest, a ROMhack that adds new difficulty and content to Paper Mario on the N64. I was enjoying the game up until I reached the boss of Chapter 4, General Guy. He keeps doing this one attack that crashes Project64 without fail. In an attempt to fix it, I downloaded the Bizhawk instead. The FAQ actually recommended to use Bizhawk when installing the game but at the time I opted for project64. My bad. I installed Bizhawk and got the game running fine but I'm looking for a way to convert my project64 save to work in Bizhawk. The save file is "PAPER MARIO.fla" I tried using pj64tosrm to convert the .fla to an .srm, but Bizhawk doesn't seem to recognize that format. When I boot up the game in Bizhawk, all the save files are empty. Any and all help would be appreciated if what I'm trying to do is even possible. My only other options would be to try to find a save file/state for this very specific romhack or just start the game over from the beginning.

Did you make sure to rename the extension from .srm to .SaveRAM? And does the name match the filename of the ROM? And did you make sure to place it in the N64/SaveRAM folder?
