Post subject: Resuming/Editing a FMV

So I was cruising through Ninja Gainden today, putting together my first speedrun experiment, and I finally finished playing. However, upon reviewing the fmv file, it stops prematurely. I finished on level 6-5, however, there is playback only up until 6-3. I'd like to either see if my button presses are salvagable, or if I can just fight the last three bosses over again. Any help? My manuals are all in chinese....

The only possibility I can guess is that at some point, you replayed the movie up until a place in 6-3 that you wanted to rerecord, but before hitting load, the movie finished, so everything you did afterwards wasn't recorded onto the movie file. I've done that a few times without realizing it.

Just start playing the movie, and when you want to start re-recording, save and then load.

Wow... I probably should have tried that, just too terrfied to mess with the fmv file. :) I'll give that a try tonight. Thanks!

just too terrfied to mess with the fmv file You can always just make a copy of the fmv file so if something goes wrong and it gets messed up you won't need to worry. I usually stop and make a copy of the fmv many times while making a speed run.
