(Link to video)
Hello, This is my second TAS of Brain Lord and as far as I know the second TAS of this game ever
This is the link for my submission of the first TAS https://tasvideos.org/8027S , it has some info about the game and How I completed the TAS, in addition to that I want to thank tacoschip over romhacking.net for making a mod of the game to disable dark rooms
This new TAS uses new strategies and new routing, some of the more notable ones are: -a New technique to make enemies not update/spawn -omitting items such as a crystal piece, armory, a meat -omitting 2 save points -selling unnecessary armory and buying 2 less warp gates -better inventory management -better RNG manipulation at Droog -using fewer attacks -better boss battles -better routing from point A to point B
I'm kinda disappointed that I could only save about a minute and a half from the previous TAS but this run was just a cleanup so it's not really that bad, it was actually worth it.
I might not do a TAS of this game for some time, but I'm actually thinking about placing a bounty, whoever TASes the game first in 40 minutes or less wins a prize I guess, be on the lookout if interested, if you want to make a TAS of this game I can contribute with whatever I have.
Thanks for watching

nymx: Claiming for judging.

nymx: Replacing movie file with working version.

nymx: Thanks for you help in getting this movie synced up and ready for judging. You've made a good improvement here of 5340 frames. Good job.
I'm accepting over your previous run [5140] SNES Brain Lord by ZoroarkGX in 43:30.85 to "Standard" for publication.

despoa: Processing...

Houston...we have a problem. ZorarkGX, your inputs do not take the game all the way to the credits. Can you check and confirm your submission file? If you have a replacement, please upload it top the WIP area and inform me.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

It de-syncs around 149000, during the final boss fight.

Its against site rules for me to provide any information on the location of rom downloads. However, I can give you confirmation on the correct rom usage. BizHawk 2.9.0 is giving me a green check mark, as confirmation of the hash of "Brain Lord (Japan).sfc". If you are seeing the same in the bottom left of the emulator, then we have the same rom. Additionally, I tried on another computer...thinking there might me something wrong with the one that I confirmed your run on. I also get the same desync. If it is not desyncing on your end, then my only other option is to get a confirmation sync from another judge.

In my last run despoa checked the TAS, it might be a good idea to check with him, but let me check first, I'll give it a look

my bad, I had a mod enabled that made dark rooms be bright as normal, I didn't double checked in a clean rom because everything went the same and honestly I was already tired and ancious for my tas to be acepted that cheat might have been the problem, it might have influenced lag frames in some way, if not I'm not sure... I did fix it tho, do I have to send the file again or can you fix it for me? I literally just deleted 1 frames from 149310 to 149355, doesn't matter which one since there are no inputs there, let me know if you can fix it for me please, also let me know if that worked for you too, if not then there might be another problem

You can just upload the replacement movie file to the "User File" area and provide the link to it in this thread. Once you do so, I'll make the replacement.
