Gnop is the first game by Bungie. It's pong spelled backwards. It was released on the Mac in 1990; this version is a faithful recreation in Flash (apparently, I haven't tried the original). You can still play it at http://gnop.bungie.org with a Flash-enabled browser. As we all know, YouTube comments are the gold standard for TASing ideas:
This TAS does not aim for speed. I choose all of the hardest options and don't always win the point as fast as possible. The first point is quick, the second one scores with a slow shot, the third one goes out of bounds, and the last is a long rally that ends going out of bounds again. I switch up the paddle movement between shots a bit. I think this is a good showcase of TAS ability, though I couldn't find anything very interesting to do other than get the ball out of bounds.

oyuki: Hello Randomno! Sorry this took some time, feedback was necessary for this submission.
It's clear from your submission notes that this is a playaround, and as such, it required some threshold of entertainment feedback to be accepted. Fortunately, the community response has been overall positive. There's only so much that can be done with a game as simple as Pong, and yet your movie delivers well with good pacing and escalation, and it showcases some quite amusing glitches of this little game.
Accepting to Alternative, and renaming the branch accordingly.

Was told to give some feedback, so... There's only so much playaround that can be done with Pong. Good thing that this is short enough to show off the weird quirks with the game without overstaying its welcome. A good, small bit of entertainment for what the game is with a strange yet funny out of bounds glitch. Also despite having an out of bounds glitch this still seems like it plays better than some other Pong clones out there.

was also told to give feedback; fun little TAS that does more than you'd think would be possible in a pong clone. IMO should be published!

Yes vote. This was fun for what it is. This sort of gameplay might get tedious after a few minutes, but in a 40-second TAS, there's a nice buildup of different point-scoring strategies that are clearly superhuman and did surprise me a bit.
