About the Game:
The Void is an NES homebrew platformer/storybook game developed by LCM Games. You play as a stickman who goes through different development stages of a short platformer, eventually going on to tame his inner demon, set off a bomb that wipes out the universe and escape said bomb wearing rocket shoes.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for fastest completion, which means getting to - what I call - the "RQB" screen.
This is my first TAS in 3 weeks.
In-Game Physics:
This is a straightforward platformer with no difficult speed tech, the only trick being the common fast fall to get past a downwards wall more quickly.
The maximum jump height is 14.
Textboxes can be skipped 2 frames before the text stops appearing, with one random exception of 3 frames.
The rocket shoes segment does not require any movement as it's an auto-scroller. It only consists of pressing A, B and U at the right times.
For specific trampoline parts where you suddenly have to go vertical instead of horizontal, I try to aim for the top corners.
And That's It!
I don't have many other ideas to describe this TAS, so thanks for reading.
nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Wow...this was an odd game. After reviewing the inputs, I quickly realized that all the spots that I thought were problems, were not at all. On particular area was the part where that creature was below, while you were jumping. It all checks out.
Accepting.
